Hi everyone!
Thought I could start this thread for anyone that is applying to the GCC Nursing Program this spring? I'm just getting my portfolio organized and prepared. I have to take the HESI one more time on Feb 24th and attend an info session on Feb 28th and I'm all set. I'm so nervous! But, I'm going to try to be optimistic. I look forward to hearing from you guys :) Take Care~
lol! I just got back from my drug test at Quest. All they did was the drug test, no finger printing..... is this what everyone else experienced as well? I asked them about the fingerprinting and they said "I don't know, not here." How will they do the Criminal History Background Check? Through the school? Ah, I hope I did this correctly, i'm stressing out because they were super busy. I hope they didn't make a mistake. I also took my disclosure form to the nursing office. And looks like she didn't need a copy of the labs from Quest.
Okay thanks ctine05! I signed up for the CHBC online and they just asked for the drug test. I was a little nervous at first because I thought someone mentioned fingerprinting.... but maybe I heard it wrong. Glad that's over with.
I am also doing the free PPD test monday morning. Momtofore, do you know where the facility is located?
Your welcome!Yea I didn't hear anything about fingerprinting, so I'm sure we did it right. How did you find out when they do the free PPD testing?I wont be able to go Monday morning because I have my doc app so I was wondering when they would be doing it again.
I called the number on the physical sheet. It's all the way at the bottom. It says PPD testing for free though GCC. Also, I found a website: http://www.co.gloucester.nj.us/government/departments/Healthinstit/Personalhealth/diseaseepi.cfm
(if you scroll all the way to the bottom, it says "Tuberculin testing (Mantoux - pronounced "man-too", PPD, or skin testing) is provided to the Gloucester County residents on the second and forth Monday of every month on a walk-in basis from 9:00 to 11:00 am.Tuberculosis Clinic is held on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month by appointment only.")
I brought the employer copy of the drug test form to school and they don't need it. She said sometimes the lab gives one copy to the donor, sometimes two. But they don't need one.
One more thing taken care of!
I called Gloucester County and off the top of my head I want to say the location for the Mantoux is 204 E Holly Ave in Sewell. I'll look at my paper and if that's wrong, I'll come back and post!
