Hi everyone!
Thought I could start this thread for anyone that is applying to the GCC Nursing Program this spring? I'm just getting my portfolio organized and prepared. I have to take the HESI one more time on Feb 24th and attend an info session on Feb 28th and I'm all set. I'm so nervous! But, I'm going to try to be optimistic. I look forward to hearing from you guys :) Take Care~
Skeletor, I'm sure that had to be tough. They say the nursing classes are already like a full time load. I couldn't imagine doing other classes at the same time. I talked to my mom about our insurance. She said I should be able to just take the nursing classes, even thought that's technically part time, and still be covered. So that's good at least.

Yes, it was quite difficult to say the least, lol. The curriculum is grueling, but you will succeed if you want to, that's the truth. Keep focused and always remain confident.
lol, daaz don't be nervous. I was nervous at first, but it was a very calm environment and they take walks ins. however, I made an appointment online. Either way is fine. When are you going to do your drug test? This week? I'm so excited, I can't wait for the start of the program! I've been reading fundamentals success and Rnotes.
Since, I just recently found out I can be a part time student and still be covered under my parent's insurance, I will be taking Psychology of Hum Dev and Art appreciate in summer 1 term, to get them out of the way. Can't wait until that's over. I need to relax.
I'm basically done all the requirements except Physical and immunizations (end of april) and CPR certification (may sometime if CPR teacher fails to bridge us)
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE! & HAVE A GREAT DAY!
Just found this website: http://medisave.net/
They sell stethoscopes w/free engraving, which is nice. I'm doing a lot of research on stethoscopes. I have the cardiology iii but am giving it to my bf for his graduation, so I'm debating whether or not to get another cardiology iii for myself or go with the littman classic ii se..... hard choice....
The littman classic series has a lot more color choices..... but my favorite color is red and they only have red with the cardiology iii.... so I'm having a hard time deciding. I have never tried out the littman classic ii before, but the cardiology iii works so well! But, i'm wondering if that's a little too advanced for the 1st semester of nursing school, we'll see what I decide.
Well, I just wanted to share that website with you guys. As you know there's alleart.com as well, but they charge for engraving. Anyway, hope this helps. :)

It definitely is, and I can attest to that fact, lol. Like yourself, I had to be full-time, and had to enroll in "extra" courses to maintain 12 credits.
