Who's taking it winter 2? Have you gotten your book? Are you buying or renting?
Also, if you have taken it, any advice?
Just got my week 2 grades...got dinged on the paper for not listing a page number in an in-text citation...only problem is, the citation is for the Morrie movie. If you can find a page number in a movie, let me know...heheh....sad thing is, I'm pretty happy with my grade so I'm not even gonna worry with it!
I think there is a section in the APA book about how to reference tv shows, movies, podcasts, etc....welcome to 2012!!!! hahaha.
Yeah, I cited the movie correctly, but apparently the TA read too quickly and thought it was a book, so she thought I "missed" the page number in my citation.
I would DEFINITELY call the TA on this...don't let it slide, regardless of the grade.
I did get a bit taken off for one other error (a legitimate one), so the movie citation wouldn't make a difference in my grade anyway. Regardless of the grade, I would normally e-mail her, but I just don't seem to have the fight in me for this one particular thing...LOL. This class will take the fight right outta ya! Hehehe!
The assignment and DB posts are done...now just have to worry about the 13,456,932 chapters we are supposed to skim, and the quiz!
Just got word the quizzes were "adjusted". We can get the grades on wednesday. Hoping I passed.......that's all I ask.
The only one I got wrong on the quiz, I almost picked the correct answer! GRRRR! Goes to show you should always go with your first pick!!!!!!! But, given I only missed one, I still only got a 90%, so no adjustment would have loved a 100%
My TA grades slow. She reads EVERYTHING. That can be go/bad. Not expecting any grades back tip Thurs from her. I should be done w/assignment 1 tonight. I need to study for nutrition, so I NEED to get it done. Is it just me, or does it seem like folks are just putting together a bunch for shortened DB post w/references as a place holder. I think this no one can use the same reference is messing some people up...
I asked my TA about this on our QA board, as I work on my discussion during the week in word, and then post to the board later in the week, after I've had time to think about it more. I told her that is what I do, and I do not look at the board in between. What happens if I get on Friday, my post is done, but someone used the reference that I printed off earlier in the week...she said "as long as you retrieved the article you should be ok"
I missed two questions and got a 90.70% after the curve. Not much of a curve.
I only missed one question and got a 90%! Obviously no curve there...how can someone else miss two questions though and get a higher grade than someone who only missed one? I do not get how they figure out the grades sometimes....

I wonder if they are going through question by question and assigning it at percentage of how hard they think it was. Since we all got different questions. That is my only guess.

That's what I'm beginning to think since my grade didn't change at all due to a curve. Now, just waiting for my Morrie assignment to get graded....

Actually got a 95.5% on that quiz!! Not bad for guessing on 1/2 the questions!!!
