I feel your pain. Though I got full marks for my DB post, I got the lowest grade I've ever received on a paper on the "Morrie" assignment. Apparently, my narrative regarding how nurses can enhance touch for older people was deficient in some way. Oh well - may have to resign myself to an Asian F for this class.

Does anyone know if we have to have citations in the "Older Adult" assignment for this week? There is nothing in the instructions or week 3 tips about it but I've learned from experience that just because it's not called out doesn't mean it's not required.

I didn't see anything either but the more I think about it.....it won't hurt I guess. Then again, who knows!

My tips week 3......

"The assignment document should be download as a Microsoft Word document. The Assignment form has each question and a space to answer the question below. The questions should be answered in 2-3 well-developed paragraphs where indicated below. Citations are to be utilized in the paragraphs and references are placed at the end of the paper. Double space and indent the content in the paragraph space. APA, citations, references, grammar formatting, and 2-3 well developed paragraphs.

1. Record the total numeric scores of selected assessment tools in the space provided. This area you only need to record the score – no paragraphs necessary.
   
2. Based on the results of the assessment tools, summarize your impression of the client in two to three paragraphs. What is the client’s general state of health? Body function? Mental status? Are there any actual or potential problems that your client may have and the factors that are causing or contributing to these problems? What do the scores of the assessments tool say about the older adult? This should be 2-3 paragraphs – Use references and citations in this section.
   
3. Medication list – Complete the table only as designed"

Yes, I went back to review and sure enough it is listed only in the TEACHING TIPS. So, I guess since I have a solid B now. I will maintain a solid B performance from hence forth!
