Who's taking it winter 2? Have you gotten your book? Are you buying or renting?

Also, if you have taken it, any advice? :D

No grades yet!!

I tried to register for community health and cultural diversity and it said I have not met the requisites. Anyone ever have that problem??

email your advisor - she needs to release you to register ... or have her register for you.

Happened to me today as well. I also had to write an email!

It is just so funny how I have gotten perfect scores for my discussion posts in the last three classes and now I get dinged for for some format issue in my reference ?! This inconsistency is rather annoying. Also, did anybody double-space their answers in the assignment document?? I did not even think of it and only in the week 2 announcement did the TA mention they needed to be. Never had to do it on other documents that were provided. I find it unfair that I lost points for it, since it was not clearly stated that it needed to be done.

I did double space my answers. I was so concerned over formatting that I asked questions on the question board. My group TA is very quick on answering and grading.

I hear ya!!! I had the same exact problems. Double space??? Is it even worth fighting? My TA does not respond to the QA board in a timely fashion.....it is soooo frustrating one week into this class.....

Can anything be done about such inconsistencies with the grading??? Doubt it.

I double spaced only because I got dinged before, but this time I got points off becasue I retrieved a document from EPIC - and that is not an appropriate link for citation. However, that is where I got it LOL Trying not to stress anymore.

I think some TAs are way too stringent about formatting on those discussion boards. I mean, if you tell me to put a reference in, I will; that's fine. But if you copy and paste from Word to the discussion board, it jacks the formatting up royally. But by the same token, if you type your discussion post in the browser, you're likely to lose it if the browser times out. Darned if ya do, darned if ya don't....

I agree! In another class the TA understood the difficulty in cutting and pasting from word to the DB so cut us some slack. How about more attention to content and less pickiness? Let the MSN students worry about APA perfection. Hang in there everybody.:uhoh3:

DB grades...are there comments somewhere??? I can't seem to figure this out.

I have learned to make a preemptive comment to the TA well ahead of time about discussion board formatting and the fact that it does not translate properly from word to the board. That way each and every TA, I am assigned, knows this is an issue before I am graded.

If you go to the orginal DB that has been graded, next to your % score, across from the rubric button, there is a button called DETAILS. Click that button and scroll down. There are comments at the bottom of your postings from the TA or whoever graded them.
