Who's taking it winter 2? Have you gotten your book? Are you buying or renting?
Also, if you have taken it, any advice?
I wish my TA was as quick to get it graded. I am eagerly awaiting my results to see how the rest of this class is going to go. I really hate waiting. I'm interested to see how my TA grades and what she is looking for so I can start thinking about my morrie assignment.
A couple students in my section posted that they had a grade yesterday and now it's gone. My TA does not respond to questions on the QA board in a timely fashion. What's up with that???? Also, the quiz scores will not be released until the 29th.....not immediately like usual...ugh!!!! Anybody else under the impression we do not need to respond to 2 peers in the DB????? I didn't see mention of it anywhere!
Our discussion posts have been graded as well. And yes, must make two scholarly postings to each discussion. Good luck with Morrie. I really like the book much better than the movie and the interviews with Ted Koppel with the real Morrie were great.
And, yes, thanks to this forum we were given the heads up about Morrie weeks in advance. Thanks!
Okay...grade is back on assignment. Got dinged half point for format errors in citations only. I am relieved that the body of my paper was well received. Now I know how much to do. They are sticklers for APA being absolutely spot-on perfect.
That was quick...I still have no grades for the class yet.
Agreed - hope they don't expect me to provide reference for MY initial thoughts after reading/seeing Morrie. That would be a bit silly, no? let's see - it says describes reaction in 1-2 well-written paragraphs and clarifies with multiple examples. Now - does that mean references are required????? It is going to be a very long 4 weeks because I do not like this class one little bit. First class I can honestly say that about.

Good question. My plan was to use the "Morrie" book as a reference for examples of anything about Morrie. Since I will be using other references for the other questions it should not be a problem that "Morrie"...is not peer reviewed...but was used to find examples. I did this in another nursing class, where I used non-peer reviewed references along side peer reviewed ones and it was not a problem at all.

I just finished my discussion (freaking 1:30am)…BUT won't post it b/c my previous grade isn't up yet. Will tackle Morrie tomorrow. Anyone started studying for quiz yet?
I know; I wish they'd post some grades already! I hate when they dawdle, because then it's hard to adjust for next week's assignments.
I don't quite know how to study for the quiz...I mean, I will review the readings, but some of the "test yourself" questions have seemed really ambiguous/confusing...but maybe it's just me...

Exactly - I need to start on Morrie today. Have another assignment for bus comp due this week too. Too many assignments and only 2 days to complete!
