Georgia Highlands College Spring 2011

Hello! I am an applicant for the nursing program at Georgia Highlands College for Spring 2011. I was just wondering if there was anyone else on here that is hoping to be accepted to the college as well. Does anyone know the typical schedule, cost, etc.? What were the average scores on the nursing worksheets that were accepted last spring and for this coming Fall 2010 semester?

I feel the same as you do... although I do have micro finished..... what is your score?

I have officially began all my nervous activities: house is spotless, workout done, dog bathed...and the list goes on. Just a couple more days. Hopefully we will all be celebrating with a letter of acceptance in our hands!!!

I know plenty of people who have gotten into the program prior to finishing a class :) hope that eases your mind a bit. Does any body have an idea of how many people applied this semester? My score is an 1140 so I am hoping it is good enough. This is my first time applying so my nerves are absolutely shot (as are every one else's as well) Any way, Good Luck Everyone! This is our last week or torture! whoo! :D

Yeah this week has been pure torture. As soon as I get my mind off thinking about it, I have someone ask me if I know anything yet. I think it would be easier to know when the letter's went out. I spoke with Hope and she told me they would all be mailed out today - which means I would get mine tomorrow. But I've seen on here people have been told they will be mailed out tomorrow. I know it's only one more day - but that seems like an eternity. I have already been rejected once - and it's not a great feeling....

I hope your information is more correct with Hope and they did get mailed today. The first time I spoke with her she said they would be sent out the first. I guess they got a little behind. My stomach has been full of butterflies since last weekend. I just keep telling myself it will all be over soon. Wishing everyone well and prayers will be lifted :)

232 applications made the deadline..... there were like close to 10 that didn't make the deadline.... normally they have 120-140 apply so it was quite a bit more probably due to the Regents not being required anymore beginning with spring semester.

Wow - that makes me even more nervous. I think I'm going to go back and rework my worksheet score for peace of mind. 232 applicants? Now I'm getting doubtful! :(

That is a lot of applicants! My score was kind of low, I guess I might have to start looking at other programs. Blah!

I just recalculated my score - now I am really concerned. It's 1053 or 1058 (depends on how they average History and Poli Sci). I'm praying for all of us - feels like we all already know each other and would make a great class!

I am praying for all of us today.... I think we would all make a great class and there is no way that it couldn't make us such a close bonded group of people because of going through all of this together.......

The number is terrifying and I have been looking at other schools too... I never thought I would possibly have to do that.... I never thought I might not be able to get into GHC....

BUT FOR NOW and as best I have been able to do every day since I applied..... I will pray and think positively and hope, hope, hope for all of us.......... I am not a negative person at all and don't like it.... but I do analyze (and stress even more) and based on everything I know.....I have an opinion....

In my mind.. anyone over 1000 probably doesn't have anything to worry about... those of us under 1000 could be on the edge........ every semester, a score in the 900's has always been an excellent competitive score....since there's only 40 seats this time, that may not be enough.... I HOPE I AM WRONG!!!! This has been the most stressful thing I have ever experienced in my whole life!!!!

My mail doesn't run until 3:30 or so..... surely since I am in Rome, it should be here today.......GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!!! :D

we will all be waiting by the mailboxes i'm sure, lol. my mail runs late, too, bleh. can't wait to see that first "i got my letter" post!

My mail usually arrives around 11:30. I am fortunate and am able to get home for lunch and will run by and find out. I'll let you guys know if anything came and I'll do the same tomorrow. This way you guys will know when to expect a letter if I'm able to get one in the mail. Praying for y'all!
