  1. Has anyone heard when they will be mailing out letters? I heard they would be mailed out the week of Oct. 24th (so this week at some point) and the lowest score was 1125 - which is a lot higher than last year. It also means I wouldn't have gotten in - so I'm hoping this information is wrong but doesn't surprise me. I just want to know for use.
  2. I didn't get in. Lowest score was 940.
  3. Congrats!!! I'm glad someone has some good news so far!!
  4. I'm home waiting on the mailman (lady) now. I've been rejected the past 2 times I applied (Fall 2010 and Spring 2011) - so hopefully the 3rd time's the charm! She's normally here by 12:00pm but she's late today - I even rode around trying to find her... sad I know. :) But I'm getting desperate!
  5. Just checked my mail - no letter only a coupon for OshKosh. I can't take much more of this. If I get rejected tomorrow I'm going to be mad.. I'm supposed to go to the NKOTBSB concert. I've had tickets since December.
  6. In West Rome - I normally get things the day after they are mailed from GHC. Guess we will be getting it Tuesday... I don't know how much more of this waiting I can do.
  7. The mail just came - it didn't come.
  8. Ugh! I just want to know if it's coming today so I can stop waiting for the mail!!
  9. Yeah, I kind of hope they will review our application with us! I emailed to ask what all they will be going over/doing during the information session, but my admissions counselor hasn't emailed me back yet.
  10. Has anyone applied to University of Tennessee Chattanooga? I applied for admission for Fall 2011 and spoke with the admission counselor a lot before turning in my application. She said that I have a "very competitive chance", but still feel like I have no idea what type of applicants they accept. She did tell me they do look at your essay on the application, experience, your recommendation letters, as well as your GPA and TEAS scores - but I wonder what weighs more on being excepted. I have a low(er) GPA than I would like 3.2 and an 80% on the TEAS (I did horrible on the Chemistry portion, because I had never had Chemistry before). I think I have very good recommendation letters - my Anatomy & Physiology professor wrote one, as well as the physician I work for. Then I also have 2 years experience working as a Medical Assistant in the back office at a family practice. I just want to know - or at least know how I compare to other students who have applied either now or before.
  11. I am still waiting also! I applied about a month ago and haven't heard anything yet. My GPA is 3.2 and my TEAS is 80% plus I have been working as a Medical Assistant for 2 years while taking classes. I just wish I knew when I would find out, since the application deadline isn't until mid May, will we have to wait until after then? Is anyone else going to the information session April 1st? They stated that the admission staff spends a lot of time with students who have a complete application, so part of me is wondering if they are waiting to meet me to make a decision.
  12. Yeah this week has been pure torture. As soon as I get my mind off thinking about it, I have someone ask me if I know anything yet. I think it would be easier to know when the letter's went out. I spoke with Hope and she told me they would all be mailed out today - which means I would get mine tomorrow. But I've seen on here people have been told they will be mailed out tomorrow. I know it's only one more day - but that seems like an eternity. I have already been rejected once - and it's not a great feeling....
  13. i don't mind posting mine - it's not that much better than yours - it's a 944. i think our scores (at least when i spoke with hope in aug.) are borderline for getting in. it just all depends on who else applies. i think they should go by something other than just scores. like you, i have 2 small kids at home - my baby (6 months old at the time) had to have 2 surgeries during the period i took ap1. so my grade isn't as great as it could have been. i don't think i got in - just because i went through this in fall 2010 when i applied the first time. the score for the past 3 years at that point was a 802-804. so my score then was 897 - i was golden in my eyes. i wasn't that worried about getting rejected. imagine my surprise when i got rejected. with that being said... i hope we both get in :) it seems like last year - more people knew (or at least were posting) about exactly when the letters would go out. this year it's just kind of this week sometime.
  14. Tfhorne - what was your admission score do you know? I spoke with the admissions rep today (by email) and she said they are hoping to have all letters mailed out by Nov. 3rd. Congrats on getting in!! I bet you are super excited!
  15. The cut off for this past fall was 934 I think? How did you get your score as 1737.5 if you made B's and C's in the science classes? Since those count 50% of the score? I applied for this past fall and didn't get in because I had a C in AP1. I took the class again this summer and made an A and I am still borderline getting in for this spring. Hopefully we will all get in, the waiting stinks! They are saying we won't know until Nov. if we got in, hopefully it won't take that long!
