:angryfire sorry to vent, but i feel that after a stressing semester of fundamentals and being well over ready for a break, why should i have to go through still being stressed? i mean our school does scantron tests so how long could that possibly take to get the results, not to mention that i took finals on thursday and having to wait to monday or tuesday to get my grade? that is ridiculous if you ask me! i want to relax a bit, but at the same time i am soooo scared of seeing my grade. anybody with me?

I'm sorry you have to wait, I think it's horrible to have to wait so long.

Because they are EVIL! :angryfire :angryfire
Seriously, I don't know. Are they reviewing the test to see if any questions can be thrown out?
We see our grades right after we take our tests.
I'm sorry they make you wait. You'd think they'd put a rush on it seeing how they know these grades usually hold so much weight and make or break some people.
At least tommorow is Monday, so hopefully you won't have to wait any longer.
Good Luck.

Are your clinicals, reports, care plans, etc. counted towards a certain % of your grade?...if so, they all have to be calculated in and if you had >1 clinical instructor, they have to gather the input from each and calculate the total grade.

Because they want to start their "vacation" early when they are supposed to be working on getting grades out.

Get used to waiting, depending on where you live you may have to wait weeks before you find out if you passed the NCLEX. I had to wait 2 days and it nearly did me in.
Some of our profs posted grades quickly and others took their sweet time. I think some of them that took so long enjoyed the power.

I know how you are feeling. I took a final on Thurs, and the teacher swore the results would be posted sometime over the weekend. Still waiting. I think not posting any grade in a timely manner is rude and irresponsible (has been this way all semester).

A good teacher will review the test results and the statistics for each question to see if any irregularities are present and to see if any "bad" questions need to be thrown out. If there are some questionable issues that show up, the teacher should consult with someone else who is well-qualified to review the situation and help make a decision. All that takes time.
So ... as painful as it may seem... The teachers that reports test results too quickly may not be as "fair" to the students as those who take the time to review the test properly.
I understand this, but if you are going to have a deadline and need to go past it a short notice would be nice. Our grades our posted on the computer and if it is posted late I worry that my computer is not working or that my name has been skipped on the roster.
thanks for all of your replies and yes i am still waiting. today i emailed my instructor and asked about grades. she stated that her other clinical class will be taking finals today and we have to wait for their grades to come in before they can give grades out. i'm like what does that have to do with me? i just want to know c or d! she also said good luck with next semester and come back to see her and make her proud. i am hoping that this is a hint that i passed. officially grades will be posted tomorrow!

Just be patient, you will get your grade soon. The intructors probably have other responsibilities outside of the classrooms. I do hope you get your grade soon, so you can enjoy your break.
