only in nursing school...does instructor A contact instructor B to validate if you were in fact ill when you emailed to say you were sick last week. then instructor A confronts you because you attended an exam worth 33% of your grade in instructor B's class. dont they have papers to grade or something to do other than investigate the reasons for my absence?! Im a senior in nursing school. You are my instructor. If I dont want to come to class I dont have to tell you. I was just being courteous. And I was sick! :angryfire

what are yours?

Im almost done and so glad its almost over!!! :smokin:

only in nursing school...does an instructor take everyone's tests back after already grading them once to take points OFF the grades because she realized she keyed a question incorrectly...despite the fact that it was an iffy question to begin with.

I'm enjoying school for the most part (I just started in September), but some things I really do have to shake my head and say "only in nursing school". Congrats on almost being done!

Only in nursing school do they have a plan of action in case of an H1N1 pandemic in the SYLLABUS, but in the same breath, say you cannot miss more than one class and be allowed to pass.

I seriously love nursing school. :p

My nursing school has a mandatory attendance policy, but in my previous degree I had professors who expected to be notified if you weren't going to be in class. So investigation might be unique to nursing school, but mandatory attendance and notification that you won't be in class certainly isn't.

Here's mine- only in nursing school do you have to provide medical clearance stating you're well enough to go back to class if you collapse during one of your labs.

Only in nursing school can you study 24-7 to prepare for an exam and STILL not pass! 5 more weeks, and COUNTING!!

ha ha ha, only in nursing school instructors talk about other students in meetings although the students asked that the conversation be confidential. FOR THIS REASON I DO NOT TRUST NURSING INSTRUCTORS!

only in nursing school do they hold an entire meeting about one student

only in nursing school do they not let someone pass on to the next semester because they failed "legal aspects of nursing" because alarms failed to alarm two weeks in a row. (this happened to the bf...so sad)

only in NS would have to take a field trip to the art museum and have to do a care plan for a person in a painting as an assignment. Seriously?? Apparently it's the school's way of integrating the arts into the curicululm or some crap like that.

OMG, seriously???? LOL! That's the best one I've heard yet.

I bet some instructor got a pat on the back for thinking outside the box.

Go figure. Possibly the silliest thing I have heard yet.
