How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.

I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.

Care to share?

Hi I am Susie, I was just accepted into nursing school. I am taking a 2 year program and I will graduate in 2005.

Currently I am working full time as a 911 emergency dispatcher. I have a 2 year old son. It is very hard to work full time and go to school full time, but I am doing great in all of my classes. I am also a EMT. I don't know what else to say, I may think of something else

later.

Hi, my name is Ali. I am finishing up all general classes and will begin nursing courses in January for my adn. I am 28 years old, have been married for 10 years and we have 4 boys and finally a little girl. Good luck to all of you!

Hi Stephany,

I'm Jennifer. LPN grad in 98. 3rd semester/ BSN student.

Where are you going to school?

I have 3 boys age 13, 11, 8. 31 years old and counting.

Hoped to have my RN before 30 but at least i'm getting there. I will be 32 w/Rn and 33 w/BSN if I can stick it out.

Are you as tired as me?

Specializes in private duty/home health, med/surg.

Hello. I'm done with all my general education requirements (unless the powers that be decide to tack on some more) and I'm in my first semester pursuing my associate's degree.

I've been married 7 years to a wonderful supportive husband, and we have a 12-year old girl (my stepdaughter), a 6-yo and 4-yo girl, and a 3-yo boy. I quit working my job as a part-time graphics artist once I began nursing school in January, so now I'm a homemaker and a student.

I'm so glad I'm finally in nursing school! It took me 2 years to get here, but I absolutely love it, especially clinicals. I know I've picked the right profession.

:roll

I am sitting here smiling. I have my acceptance letter into the RN (2 yr) program here in Atlanta Ga starting in August 2003. The program is 4 semesters long. I am taking micro this summer after receiving a hard earned A in Biology A&P II. I made a C the first time but felt I needed an A to stay competitive and make it to the top of the list. It worked!

My real name is Pam. I am happily married to my sweetheart of 5 years. My husband is my only kid. He is off the breast now and I can attend school and feel comfortable knowing he can cook his own tv dinners without me.

:D :D

I am very excited and happy to be on aboard with all of you.

Call me Bucky or Bucktooth (my favorite cartoon character tribute to Bugs Bunny.)

Hi Pam,

My name is Jennifer. I am in a 4 year BSN program here in denver but I noticed you live in Atlanta. I have been trying to find a way to get to Atlanta- my sweetheart lives in Mcdougna (I know thats not spelled right) and so I thought it would be cool to say hello. I am too much in the middle of school and I looked at transfers to other colleges but it is just not going to happen. Maybe next year when I have my ADN, then I could transfer easily. Anyway, I know nobody in Atlanta so maybe we could email and who knows, maybe if I move we could go hang out or something.

I met my boyfriend a long time ago, he is and always will be my first love. We have been reunited for a year now and want to get married if we can figure out how to get to each other.

Anyway, congrats on school.

Email me if you want to

Bye!

I am just finishing up my BSN - was supposed to grad in May, but my 14 yo daughter had an argument with a go-kart. For the most part the go-kart won, so I'll be making up some couse work and finishing next December.

I am a single mom of 3 kids ages 3, 5 and 14. My middle child is a boy and the other two are girls. Between them, school and working as clinical assistant at Children's Hospital I am always on the move!:roll

I look forward to meeting you all. I wish I'd found this sooner in my student nursing career!!
