How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.

I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.

Hi! I'm new here. My real name is Pam. I'm 33, married with four children: girls are 10 and 8 and boys are 4 and 18mths. I'm an accelerated BSN student just finishing my first of three semesters. Surprisingly, my children still know me despite my long hours of being at class or clinical and studying when at home. I'm loving this though! Have never been so happy with my "job" in my entire life. I was all about science and computers in my "previous" life so this is a big career change for me. Looks like this will be a great message board and I look forward to talking to you all.

Hi! I'm 28 (married, no kids...not yet anyway unless you count my husband) and I start my first semester of a four semester ADN program in the fall. I'm in the process of getting everything ready....Making sure my sweet husband has plenty of tv dinners, I have all my vaccinations and physical, ordering all those EXPENSIVE books (amazon is great) and I just ordered my scope (master classic II :D ) and all that fun stuff. I'm soooo ready to jump in feet first!

I'm so glad I stumbled across this site. I'm sure I'll be asking tons of idiotic questions over the next year and a half or so. I'm warning you now! ;)

Glad to meet all of ya!

Good luck to all!

Thanks Jen! Feeling a little scared now. First placement is only 3 days away. I have 5 days in a nursing home and the week after 5 days in Westmead hospital which is the largest teaching hospital in New South Wales. Should be an awesome experience!! Have a great day!

Sarah :)
