I'm also 29 and a daytime student (probably due to a lack of nighttime programs lol). In my program the older students like ourselves outnumber the younger "traditional" students.

Specializes in Women's Health.

I'm 34. I'll be 35 when I graduate.

Specializes in Operating Room.

I'm 31, but will be 32 in November. So, if I get right into the nursing program in Jan. '06, and finish on time, I'll be 34 when I finish.

I was so upset at 25, 30 didn't hurt at all! lol

I still act young....look young (minus some wrinkles LOL)....feel young....age doesn't matter! :) :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

I'm 28. In a day program with only one "traditional" student. The rest of us are on 2nd, 3rd careers. I'm glad to bring my life experience with me to apply to nursing school. I'm not knocking any young nurses, one of my best friends was a nurse by age 20, but I was too immature back then. Chasing the business world dream then, wanting to be rich and wearing nice clothes. Now I'm happy that I can go to work in something with a nice comfy waist band!!:p

32 feels just like 22. You just get smarter!

The lightbulb went on when I turned 30. I feel more alive now than I ever have.

By the way, has anyone seen those new NIKE ads about women and their bodies? They are great!

I am 50 and starting the 3rd semester on Monday.

Specializes in Operating Room.

I am 32 and will graduate with my BSN on December 16th !!! (Thank the Lord)

When I went to college the first time around I was 18, and not quite sure what I wanted to do. Started out as a pre law Political Science major, then a Pre-law Psychology major..... then left the university, went to a Junior college and graduated with an Associates in Business Administration. It really upsets me now when I think about how that was in 94 and I could have graduated with my ADN and could have been a nurse for 11 yrs now'!! But I feel like things happen for a reason and I probably wouldn't have made it through the program then. Now I have major motivation to finish.... a husband and two kids. So, we have made major sacrifices, and I can finally see the light!

30 here! These old bones just ain't what they used to be...ain't what they used to be...ain't what they used to be......:rotfl:

I am 28!!!! I'll graduate with my adn when i am 30:D
