I'm just curious....most of the nursing students in my courses are about my age....29 give or take a few years...lol....but I was told that the daytime students are a lot younger.

"RN to be in 2004"

I will be 26 (turning 27) when I start school.

Hi there... I'm 34 and will be 36 when I graduate. There are quite a few people who are 25+ in my classes (daytime). Many of us already have bachelors degrees in something else (including myself - b.s. in marketing).

We're not such an oddity anymore! :)

I just turned 25 and I'll be 27 (almost 28) when I am done. I go to school during the day, and most of the students are older than me, though there are a few 19 and 20 y.o.'s. This is my 2nd bachelors, and I know I am older and wiser than I was at 18. I know if I had started nursing school at 18, I probably would have flunked out b/c my study habits were terrible (came back to haunt me big time!) and I just wanted to party w/ my friends! :)

I am 30 going on 31 - will be graduating with BSN May of 2005!!

I am 31 and have one child. I will start my prerequisite this spring. :)

I'm 28. Have to finish my pre-reqs before I'm accepted into the nursing program. Hopefully, I'll graduate 2006. By then I'll be 31. I'm so glad this question was asked. Here I thought I might be to old for this but it turns out, I'm just the right age.

I'm 25. If all goes well I will be 27 when I graduate. I'm hoping to go on for my Master's and get that done by 30...that's if I'm not drained by then. :chuckle

Well, I'm the old one here! 33, will be 34 when I graduate. I didn't realize the value of an education when I was younger, so I didn't start college until I was about 25, and had two young kids. Better late than never! :)

hello there . I am 33 going on 34 in nov, and I am a first semester adn nursing student. I have previously changed careers from a electrical engineer to a cma to a nursing student and i love the medical field.

I just turned 35 and am in my 2nd year of ADN program. I feel like maturity and life experience are the pre-requisites I need to get through. I don't think there's any way at all that I could have done this when I was younger.

i am 27 and a new nursing student at university

I'm 30- just started the program. I was 28 when I started the pre-req's. I will be 31 when able to take the LPN licensure exam and 32 for the RN. But, atleast I went back and did it!
