Do you have to be Filipino? So if we are not premium members we cannot have a discussion on this subject?

Which section are you talking about??

I don't understand your question. Please elaborate.

Under the Local tab, almost all members here have a special section. The US members have their state forums, while we have International sections for several countries, including the UK, Canada, Australia/New Zealand, and the Philippines. None of these forums require premium membership for access or posting privileges.

I understand that that there are different categories. I am not a premium member and wondered why I couldn't access the site.

No reason to why you can't access these areas. If problem persists may be worth contacting admin through the admin help desk found under the main forum tab and explain the problem to them

Specializes in Education, FP, LNC, Forensics, ED, OB.

The Local forums are not Premium forums, so you should be having no difficulty accessing and/or posting in these forums.

If you are, please do as silverdragon102 above states and post in the admin help desk forum so we can address this issue.

Could you possibly be talking about a moderated forum? Some of our forums are moderated. Med/Savvy is one of them. Moderators read and approve all posts before they are allowed on the forum. Topics on the Filipino nursing or international nursing forums get pretty heated sometimes so that is why the moderators decided to monitor them. I was told this by one of the mods when I first encountered it.

You are absolutely correct, caliotter3. The Philippine forum is a moderated forum. Only because we have so many non-Filipino issues/posts that come up that need to be moved elsewhere. Or, the posts might be better suited in the International forum. It helps us to keep the site running more smoothly. Thank you for pointing that out.

If one posts in the Philippine forum, staff members must validate before the post appears on the public boards. But, anyone can post in that forum if they have something to discuss regarding Philippine nursing. This header is found in the Philippine forum to explain about this:

Discussion forum regarding nursing in the Philippines. This is a moderated forum, all posts will be reviewed by staff for TOS conformity prior to being posted. English only please. For nursing info on a career abroad please use International forum.
