Just for balance, I thought I'd start a thread complaining about whining and complaining by new nurses and longtime nurses. I hear an awful lot of griping at the nurses station. So, just to prove I'm a total judgementatl hypocrite, I'm starting this thread to complain about the complainers. The only complaining not allowed on this thread is about people who complain about people who complain, okay?
Really though, I do get tired of hearing complaining at my workplace. After reading this site, I realize how darned spoiled we are. We have good ratios, and nurses will sit there shopping online, and gripe at the same time about management, just proving what great multitaskers they are!

Could we just declare a moratorium on this sort of thread? Even just for a day?

Well, I could go on and on about the whining at work.
Where is jnette when you need her? Always putting a positive spin on things and having a good attitude.
We have great ratios - and wonderful CNA's. What's to whine about?
I too get tired of it - I don't have an answer except I work part-time and I walk away when the whining starts.

Some people just really like to whine! They don't want solutions to problems, because what would they have to whine about?
Wow, I too am perfect and not a hypocrite! It's nice to meet someone else as wonderful as me, Suesqatch! :barf01: (Just kidding, of course!)

:thankya: GardenDove,
I agree and fully understand. I really try to avoid the whining and gripping by staying busy or out of range of hearing. But, sometimes that is impossible. For my 18 years of nursing, I have always kept my whining and gripping about nurses whining and gripping to my self.
The ones I work with, I don't know why they do it. And they do it ALL THE TIME. They whin/grip about anything, everything, everybody and even the color of the sky. There seems to be no limits.
Thank you GardenDove, Appreciate you
