It is a three way tie;
1. pet snake
2. pet mouse...escaped and retrieved without harm, lots of screaming though
3. large glow in the dark, uhm, vibrating device.

A friend a I snuck a pet mouse into a psychiatric ICU for a friend once. It lived there for a week and was never found!
Another girl kept a siamese fighting fish in (a psychiatric) hospital for over a month, too.
I've seen laxatives, blades, diet pills and diet coke snuck into eating disorder units in psychiatric facilities, too. Though that's not strange, really, more or less to be expected.

Not snuck in, but large as life and twice as ugly!
Pet budgerigars in a cage-they stayed-not a quick visit.
Pt was a surgeon at the hospital, management let him off with everything!

Not brought to the hospital but taken home...a patient's wife lost her dentures so she took his home with her, took us a while to figure that one out!

My dad snuck their toy "teacup" poodle in to see my mom. Scared the nurse when she saw moms covers moving around.

A pt's husband brought in a whole roasted chicken for her. Problem was pt was 400lbs+ and on a 1600 cal ADA diet...
By the time we found out all we found was the carcass.
