So over the years I have read many many threads on here. Love allnurses!!! :redpinkhe

But one thing that drives me ABSOLUTELY nuts is when somebody leaves a comment for an OP that is so totally off base from what the OP was stating that it makes me wonder if the person acutally has read what the OP acutally wrote!!!!!

Seriously people...use your eyes!!! :twocents:

Ha! I know what you mean, but sometimes the conversation goes a bit more off topic than the original post topic. I am guilty of this myself :chair:.

When another topic arises, it just seems easier to reply to that topic instead of opening a new thread. I know this must be frustrating to the OP, but the thread is, most of the time, interesting reading. The OPs seem to take it in stride. I have seen a new topic emerge from the original post and then that topic becomes as interesting to the OP as the original post. It is just the way conversation goes, I suppose. HEY! I made a rhyme! I do it all the time! Let's talk about rhyming now...:D

Which thread are you referring too? :smokin:

Specifically:

tired RN venting - the OP is venting how she had a bad night and had to give a report to one of those "perfect" nurses. It was just a vent of frustration.

One member states that she needs to write up a report and give it to her manager.

After I read that I was like, WTHeck, the OP just wanted to vent and there was nothing to write a report about. ??? I just don't get some people sometimes.

Sometimes if the thread is very long, it can take on a whole new meaning by how other posters have interpreted it. Do agree though that its helpful to read the OP first then peruse the rest of the comments.

Most patients I have been involved with know how to read. What part of the country is OP from?

:lol2: I thought you were serious. I was thinking, "you've GOT to be kidding!!!" :lol2:

Case in point. :p: Sometimes I catch myself making a mistake like this, but I usually come back and indicate that I figured it out. :p:
