Hi...Could some one tell me witch are the best places to work in USA? to have a quiet live,in family, without to much confusion...and of course with a good hospital...i now it´s dificult to say,but give me some ideas...please!!! Thanks.

Personally, I would say the site I live in: Delaware. You never hear anything bad about it, no major problems (wars, attacks, etc.) and there are some great hospitals throughout the state (Kent General, Christiana Care, BayHealth, etc.). And best of all, we're the only tax free state!!!

Check out the state's website at http://delaware.gov/

Specializes in hospice, home care, LTC.

While Delaware may indeed have many good attributes, I must point out that New Hampshire is also a state income tax free state. There is also no sales tax here.

I moved here from NYC ten years ago and have never regretted it. The living is good.

Because of our tax free status, we do have higher property taxes than other states. But you can get a pretty good deal for your real estate money.

The environment is clean and most people are kind.

Take a look at New Hampshire!

You could come out to California...everybody else seems to be leaving....

Thanks for answer to me question, you are very kind.

Let me ask you one more thing,in terms of cost of living how much is necessary for a family(in a month, about 4 people)having a normal live...for example how much does it cost for rent a house with 4 bedrooms ?

You can come to New Orleans! Ok at least I tried..:sniff:

Come to the Maryland or DC area. It's culturally diverse, we have great schools and you could easily find a job here.

Specializes in Clinicals.

Come to Deeeeeeetroit! Just kidding. You should actually try very hard to avoid even coming close to this place. Its like a third world country.

I was wondering where everyone was coming from.... :D

Specializes in Only the O.R. and proud of it!.

I thought that Florida and Texas were states w/ no income tax... Am I wrong? I have heard that Florida is not the greatest state for nurses. One of my former co-workers now is a nurse in a small OR in Texas (outside on of the big cities, don't remember which), and she loves it.

Anyone know about Minnesota? Are they no income tax? I don't think that they have state sales tax on many items.. clothing being one of them.

Specializes in Geriatrics.

I'd avoid Michigan entirely, not just Detroit, our economy is in the bedpan, unemployment is rampant, housing prices aren't great, taxes are high, lots of nursing jobs though. However we do have The Most beautiful Big Lakes (partial to Lake Michigan myself). Good luck with your choice, dont forget to look at climate, our states certainly have variety in that area.
