The best place

Nurses General Nursing

Hi...Could some one tell me witch are the best places to work in USA? to have a quiet live,in family, without to much confusion...and of course with a good hospital...i now it´s dificult to say,but give me some ideas...please!!! Thanks.

Come to the Maryland or DC area. It's culturally diverse, we have great schools and you could easily find a job here.

Don't you get shot at a lot in DC?

I thought that Florida and Texas were states w/ no income tax... Am I wrong? I have heard that Florida is not the greatest state for nurses. One of my former co-workers now is a nurse in a small OR in Texas (outside on of the big cities, don't remember which), and she loves it.

Anyone know about Minnesota? Are they no income tax? I don't think that they have state sales tax on many items.. clothing being one of them.

No taxes in Nevada...but, we kicked them out of California for that. :lol2:

Too cold in the Northeast, too humid in the deep South, no ocean and too much humidity in the Midwest, too much rain in the Northwest, too cold in the Rockies, earthquakes along the West Coast, and hurricanes along the East Coast.

Nowhere is perfect but Hawaii probably is wonderful.

Florida has no stae income tax.

What do you think you are looking for, do you want family nearby, do you have kids to think about, and on and on. I wish you well.

Nowhere is perfect but Hawaii probably is wonderful.

Rent on a 4-bedroom house in NH can vary from $1500-1800 in the south end of the state (closer to Massachusetts border) and less the further north you go.

Come to Deeeeeeetroit! Just kidding. You should actually try very hard to avoid even coming close to this place. Its like a third world country.

Dido for the DC area...southeast DC, that is!!!

i dont know much in usa but i know there is good work in dubai

good luck

Don't come to Bangladesh either as I enjoy being top dog in an entire country.

I really liked Austin, TX though...it just needs a beach.

Specializes in L&D.
I'd avoid Michigan entirely, not just Detroit, our economy is in the bedpan, unemployment is rampant, housing prices aren't great, taxes are high, lots of nursing jobs though. However we do have The Most beautiful Big Lakes (partial to Lake Michigan myself). Good luck with your choice, dont forget to look at climate, our states certainly have variety in that area.

I disagree. West Michigan is a great place to live. As long as you don't work the auto industry, or have anything to do with auto industry, you should not have problems. I think of living in West Michigan like living in the south without the accent. lol. No traffic problems, great schools.
