There is an extra fee for the tag -- -but it provides scholarships.. and yes you have to have a tag registered to your name in order to apply for the scholarship..
I really like this plate. Much prettier than the ones I've seen so far but maybe I'm biased a bit because I love Mississippi lol

I personally think it is insulting to have a RN plate when someone has not obtained it. I also think it is pretentious to have an RN plate.
Can you explain why it would be "pretentious" for an actual RN to have an RN plate?

In fact, I consider the plate to be an insurance policy against speeding tickets
Hey, you know what's an even better "insurance policy" against speeding tickets?

    NOT SPEEDING.

The last time I got a speeding ticket, I had to sit through 8 hours of tedium in a defensive driving class. I decided I was done with speeding. 1990.

It's actually a relief not have to always be looking vigilantly for the cop who's going to pull you over. I just put it on cruise control and enjoy my ride. Cheaper, too.

Heck yeah, I am going to get my RN license plate when I become an RN.. It is an acknowledgement to myself and the world that "I did it"!!.. I don't care what other people think. I am an LPN and I wouldn't feel right putting a tag that would make others think I was a Registered Nurse on my car but when I do earn that title.. it will be displayed with pride and dignity.

Maybe the LPN displaying the tag in question doesn't own that car. Maybe it is her mother's car who is an RN.

Cope RN 420 is a non-profit Association specializing in providing medicinal cannabis services to Members who require in-home care...they dispense marijuana to home bound people in CA.
So I'm thinking that it might be appropriate in CA, then...but it's still not legal in NY...it just struck me as really funny/stupid...and to the poster who commented about the car belonging to the person who interviewed me...it wouldn't matter, as the "interview" consisted of looking up my license online and offering me the job...no thanks!!! Anyplace that is that desperate is not a place I want to be!!!
