Just got a position to work at step down. Wondering how long will the training be and what will they teach you during the training?

You should have found out how long the training would be before accepting the position as it varies greatly based on position/experience/hospital.

Yes, you should definitely call and find out.

You might receive a week or two of training. You might receive six to eight weeks of training. None of us knows the answer, but your future unit manager can answer this question with the most accuracy.

Accepting a job offer blindly? Not something I would do. Specifics such as length of orientation and pay during orientation and after should be discussed prior to accepting the job. Heck, in my department we discuss that at the initial interview.

I hope you didn't make a mistake. Normally you get paid on orientation but depending on where you are working, you may not. Did you sign a contract?

No I didnt sign anything yet. I am still trying to endorse my license so after i got my license i then will tell them...

No, you won't get paid during training time.

However, there is good news. Your training will be just 3 days.

You will tell them what? That you have your license? I would really try and get all the answers to your questions before you start working.
