where they store the blood tubing.
What is one thing that you just cannot seem to remember?
For 30+ years I have developed the habit of keeping my pen in my hand in the writing position. I can even start an IV if I really HAVE to with the pen still there. Now retired I still carry a pen most days just like that.
Otherwise what HAVEN'T I forgotten. Which way is up so the addressograph prints correctly.....I know most labels are computer generated now.
I haven't seen lipids separate from TPN in a dogs age.....I didn't even know anyone gave them separate anymore.
I always forgot either to clock in or out at least once a pay period. And where on earth are the extra deadender caps for the unused 3 lumen ports. .
Oldtimer's has ahold on me for sure.
Oh no I forgot what I never can remember...oh yeah.. I never can remember the date ..it keeps changing and I have to ask my patients. I only hope they are more oriented than I am.
Got a day off, then the next day I came in and somehow went around for about two hours thinking it was still February!
Thank goodness I didn't have to do any NIHSS. :imbar
The worst is when I call coworkers by the wrong names. I had two of them mixed up the other morning, and the funniest thing about it was that patients corrected me.
It's so weird that I can recall the most complex scientific stuff, but then come in wearing two different socks or forgetting things like patients' names.

it must be an australian thing with the pens going missing because it is mighty hard to go an entire shift without losing one. I have however rarely found my pen before the end of the day. Once I swear I found it in another hospital but I'm sure it was mine!
