Congrats! Hey now..this is the PERFECT time to learn about your own anti-stress techniques, how you learn, and most of all...how to have fun when you learn! (before you are in there)...oh and how to test! I don't want anyone to take two years to learn it on their own like I did! LOL! (oh btw..the trick with me...treat every single answer individually, do your best...move on and don't look back. Everytime I looked back or changed and answer I screwed it up! Great...took me two years to figure that one out...OUCH! LOL! I still test like a pro, and I HATE tests !!!!!!!!!).

Oh and get thank you note cards...for the ones that support you during this! They will get a very nice thrill and heart felt reward if they get them during your stent as a student...I did...and I am happy I did! They helped me more than anything I could imagine...and well, a thank you card meant the world to them and me too..win win!

Oh..and read up on fluid and electroyles...my suggestion..."nursing made increadibly simple" book on it...trust me ;) if it was not for that...I would have failed..and this is a tricky subject to understand..but once you do..nursing is that much easier...and makes you much more!

congratulations and welcome aboard! Fasten your seatbelt for this will be the beginning of your fast and furious journey. Don't forget to dig deep if you need more courage because you are more capable to handle stress than you have ever imagined.

Look around in your classroom. As you go through each semester, the number of your classmates will be reduced, as usual in most nursing programs; Make sure you make it through the nursing school because you will never be the same person when you failed to get what you wanted. You will be like a broken mirror that no matter how it is glued together, it always has at least a minor distortion of a reflected image. Read ahead for you will be expected to know alot in such a short time.

Study hard because when you get out of school it will be harder.

Congratulations to you! I know that feeling and it's a great one. Nursing school is a different world. It's challenging, exciting, overwhelming and fun. If you have determiniation and a good sense of humor you will make it through just fine. My advice is to keep a journal or an online blog to document your experiences. Good luck to you on your journey.
