I Flunked NCLEX!!

Nurses General Nursing

Published

On a "sample" NCLEX test hosted by my local newspaper, with the exception of the first few L&D related questions - I flunked!

Thank god we don't have to re-take the dang thing.

Now imagine some hump takes the quiz, and by chance gets 100% or scores better than his nurse-friend. It will totally diminish what it takes to be a nurse and what a nurse really does. Again.

13/15. The question about the IV drip rate was crap. You need to know what type of typing tubing you have in order to calculate it.

LOL...I'm still trying to figure out how they got 14cc/h; I got 13/15 too, but man oh man...those OB questions...I HATED OB in school and haven't dealt with it in 18y, and wouldn't you know it, I got all of them right!

God Susy, at first I thought you meant you got a letter from the State Board saying, "Sorreeeee, we made a mistake, and you did not pass NCLEX as previously thought..."

lol, 12/15. I got the OB ??'s right, don't know how the hell happened. Maybe I should think about OB, instead of the elderly, LOL.

I am not EVEN going to try that. It's been too long....

LMAO! Oh my god can you imagine???

For those who asked why it was in my paper, the paper did an article on the nursing shortage (there's a link to it on the AllNurses.com home - news) and for good measure I guess they included a "sample" NCLEX to see if "you have it what it takes" to be a nurse.

11/15 !!

Not bad for a "first year" huh?!?!

14/15 here. i too missed the drip calc one.

I got 7/15.....uummmmm I guess thats good considering I am still in my pre-reqs....hehehe Of corse I was guessing...lol

i got 12/15, missed the last one, which was missing the tubing size. the one about the 2nd stage of labor was horse cocky, as if a baby had shoulder dystocia the head would already be presenting and one only has a matter of minutes to get that baby out. also, 30cc's after surgery would be normal, any other signs of bleeding like bp changes, .......just like school.....not enough information on the tests.

13/15

hmmmm...helps to pick the least objectionable answer when in doubt...
