The only success to any chat room is participation and it looks like we will have that! The chat room is designed to relieve stress from your every day life and to net work with some that may have a similiar situation that you may have knowledge to share or discuss.

If anyone has any topics that wish to have a hosted forum, we can easily put one together. I have no problem opening another chat room just for that. ALLNUSRSE chat room is not open to the regular net users as it is not on the room listings. We do that to keep out the nasty people that hassle people online and it has been successful. Have fun as that is what chat rooms are for! Hope to see you all tonight! I am looking for anyone that has chat room experience that has a program called Mirc or Pirch to become a room moderator that will keep the room flowing! What time did you get there? I was hoping to "meet" you. I would have enjoyed talking with Mario, as well. I guess the people who were there when I was there were early birds.

It was a BLAST but those of us who were there all lost steam and toddled off to bed fairly early. I thought that was part of the fun.

I think it would be a good idea for people to just check out the chat room from time to time and see if anybody's there. This "party" started out from someone checking it a couple of times and finding it empty. We just decided on a time, fairly arbitrarily.... Being able to go there and find someone to chat up (heh heh) would be Very VERY cool, to my mind! Sometimes I can even stay up late with the big kids!!!

Hi caj. Any way to show who's in the chat room at the top of the forums, like the way we can see who's also browsing the forums?? If so, more people may drop in?? Or, should I ask Brian this? :confused: Re moderator, you're speaking Greek to me! :chuckle Never heard of this mirc or pirch, but I don't think I could help out anyway. But I will participate, had a blast.

Hoolahan, at this time there is no option to do that, it would be nice though. I am checking out a few different software solutions that might allow that, as well as having users to register or maybe tie into the BB registration. I'll keep you posted. Thanks

Brian may be able to see whose on...my system on the net itself will show only who is in the room by logging on it.

Mirc or Pirch programs are available easily and they are free. What they are is a chat client. When you log on the web page here and click CHAT...that is called a java chat program. It works fine but other programs are available without having to access this website. There are advantages to Mirc...u must be a windows user for one and secondly you can access other rooms on the net and be in allnurses chat room at the same time. We have one room that is a trivia room and can play on teams. You can access it from the java too. IRC chat commands are easy to use. If you want to go to the trivia room log on the net and into allnurses room and type /join #triviamaster and it will take u there. Remember to use the slash / type it exactly like I am /join #triviamaster to get back to the allnurses room just type /join #allnurses Easy to do! ok I will see u all tonight! Caj, ya lost me :confused: I'm still trying to learn how to burn CD's!!

Top of my want to learn list now is how to make a graphic, simple stuff, so I can add it to my web page. Then next is making databases. THEN maybe I will attempt to understand this rest! For now, I am happy to click into chat, and if need be click in and out. I guess you really can't teach an old dog too many new tricks at once :chuckle! Oh to have the sharpo mind of a 20 year olf again!!

Ahh, Renee, I'm glad you enjoyed the cyber bubbly last night! Two champagne glasses and I couldn't type worth a darn- I said I was a cheap drunk, LOL!! BTW, we decided to save the 2nd bottle for another "fun" night. I didn't sleep well at all last night (because of the bubbly, I think), so it will be a while before we do have the next bottle. But I'll go back in chat ASAP, and I'll do more than nod and sip!!! :)
