On a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 meaning you hate nursing, and 10 meaning you love nursing, rate your level of enjoyment of your nursing job.

About a 7....I like who I work with and most days I like my job and the career. There are just too many frustrations for me to rate it higher than that.
That's probably about right, a 6 or 7 for me.

I would rate it a 8 for job satisfaction, a 10 for benefits/salary.

Nearly out of nursing school 40 years and nursing is my identity. Some days satisfaction is 4. Most days it is 8 or 9.

sometimes this question swirls through my head, but i know i love nursing, i work in ltc as an lpn, ltc isnt the area i was hoping on working in, right now i'd say 8 out of 10 but if i was in the hospital or icu especially it would probably be a 20 out of 10 lol!! i just love environments that keep me on the ball and encourage me to stay on top of my stuff, not that ltc doesn't but it is very different from the hospital environment.

I have been a nurse for only 2.5 years, and I escaped from a very toxic environment on a med-surg floor, and now work on a respiratory floor, and I love my job, but a lot of the nurses I work with are burnt out, having been nurses for >15 years. I would like to think that in another 15 years, that I will still love my job, but who knows:uhoh3:, but for now:

6. I am blessed to work with mostly great people that never hesitate to help when you are swamped with work and also fortunate that we are not often swamped. However, I could live without the demanding families and patients thinking this is the Four Seasons.

I'm going with an 8. I love nursing and have never wanted to do anything else. :heartbeat:heartbeatLove what I do now as well. I could very much do without all the non-patient care related stuff, including the new clinical leader who drives me bonkers.
