Do you enjoy nursing?

well for me ill say i love wat i do and thats being a nurse.thats a quick 9.5 altough its not so easy but all things been equal ill keep striving with God by ma side

Wow...I thought I'd open this thread and see yet more negative posts. It is refreshing to see that a majority of the responses were rated highly. It is nicer than hearing......"if I had to do it over, I would not choose nursing." Thanks for all of your positive input.

agreed.

even when i'm stressed/stretched to the max, i totally love being a nurse.

now, if family members were non-verbal, but only there to hold the loved one's hand:

if our colleagues were brain-washed to only offer support;

and if we could communicate w/md's, via walkie-talkies, and immediately shut them right off...

then all would be ok in the world.

I'd say about a 9, I love my job but it does have its ups and downs.

I'll say an 8. I've only been a nurse for a short while, but I really like the job and I can see that I'm beginning to use critical thinking more often instead of just being "task-oriented."

I don't really enjoy nursing at all at this point. I have worked staff jobs and I have traveled. I can honestly say that I am ready to get back into school and at the very least get away from the bedside if not the entire field of nursing. I can understand that a lot of people do enjoy caring for their patient's, but I have a difficult time believing that anyone can enjoy the whole ball of wax that comes with being a nurse these days.

About a 7....I like who I work with and most days I like my job and the career. There are just too many frustrations for me to rate it higher than that.
