Has anyone given any care to a celebrity? You don't have to give names.

is anyone else doing like me and trying to put clues together and figure out who the celebs are? LOL Sorry... can't help it!!! I do it in my nursing class when we're discussing pts in the area... we live in a VERY small town - sometimes we can figure it out

I have had the pleasure (and with one famous person in particular, the displeasure) of caring for some stellar individuals on national and international levels. But the most wonderful experience of all was caring for an elderly and very wise Native American Tribal Chief. His words of council to me were both prophetic and healing. I'll never forget him.
Peace,

Just to let you know.... Last year a famous hockey coach (hey this is Canada, he is a celebrity!) was admitted to hospital. Yes it was in all the papers etc. so everyone knew where he was admitted and what for. It seems that two people accessed his info on the computer that were not authorized to, (I think a resident and or med student) and were found out and reprimanded (suspended without pay ? sorry dont really remember the details) My point is be careful trying to access info on your celebrities you are probably being watched!
In our hospital is there is a patient admitted who many staff know such as a physician there is a warning screen that pops up if you try to access their info on the computer.

Even if the papers etc. state that someone is in the hospital, that is only rumor until someone there affirms it. There are those too who DON't follow the news who wouldn't know someone was in the hospital til they accidently heard it or read it somewhere.
These guys have ENOUGH invasion of privacy; we don't need to add to it, AND it is STILL ILLEGAL.

Celebs don't get admitted under their own name. We have over 100 made-up names/personal information for celebs. Employees have been fired over giving out names even after the celeb was dismissed.

I was working in a hospital in Minneapolis when Prince's wife had her baby. I didn't know anything about it, until I saw him walking into the hospital when I was leaving, and saw the new blip on the TV. Put 2 and 2 together. he sure did look out of place in the general public.

No, but I'm pretty sure *he* wasn't there when they were conceived, either .

we are all anonymous here...
question: what's hippa?
answer: a female hippo!
relax everyone, no one is giving specific hospitals, and the stories are all in the past...
