My stamp is 1/18/18. Gateway CC evening program was my first choice. Has anyone with a similar date stamp been accepted to any type of traditional evening program? What are the class schedules generally like if you're only taking the nursing courses? Is it class everyday and on Saturday and Sunday? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Now I am motivated to get through Biology 205 this summer and Anatomy and Physiology part 2 in the fall. When I start in January 2020, I will only have nursing classes to complete for the associates, God-willing.
You will get there, I know the waiting feels so long. I wish you the best of luck and I am here if you have any questions.
@tangledtrio awwwwwww you are such an inspiration? I am thinking about cep too. Can you tell me what was your score and gpa ? People said that 80s have chances to get in. You choose the right path traditional takes forever ?

Lol it is funny to think that now I am the inspiration! Thank you ? I got in with an 83. I went with Ottawa as my university and Gateway evenings as my community college. I will work through the program and use grants. I am not using loans. I was going to do traditional until someone on here took the time to educate and encourage me to go the CEP route. The Pell Grant covers a lot and I am going to apply for scholarships. There is some cost that the Pell Grant does not cover, I had $1,000 for tuition for the university summer courses, and the book bundle, tote, scrubs, stethoscope, and watch come out to about $2,000. So for the entire program I am paying about $3,000 out of pocket after grants and if I can get on top of the scholarships I may not even have that much. I calculated Ottawa to be the least expensive per credit hour, requiring the least amount of pre-reqs and you would finish the same semester as the community college, unlike some of the other universities. Gateway requires the book bundle which is the bulk of the expenses ($1,800) but I know some other students buy used books or online pdf books which I may still consider. One last thing, Ottawa offers a consortium agreement which is very important because it allows all your grant money that the university does not use to go to the community college. (ASU for example does not offer a consortium agreement) I am excited and hope I can inspire a couple people along the way.
I think you're right- that CEP makes the most sense for the vast majority of people, and I would definitely encourage it. I'm one of those weird odd ball cases where I am an older student, I already have a graduate degree and getting the AA is a backup as a second career/ side gig in the event the economy crashes. Nursing provides job stability in an uncertain economic climate. There's a possibility that once I finish nursing school that I will never work as a nurse...sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. But yes, CEP makes good sense for the vast majority of people. And if you're able to do it without loans, then that's even better.

Alts/sims I believe is alternates/simulations for Clinicals and you can pick one of the two that week so for where they say Friday and Saturday it would actually be one or the other. Hesi is on there because at the end of every block you have to take a Hesi exit exam to go into the next block.
I would guess EBP is evidence based practice, but that's just my guess ?

This schedule is for both the traditional and CEP students (I will have traditional students in my classes with me) if I were to have waited I believe they were saying Fall 2020 would have been my semester to start.. I know CEP seems expensive and scary, I was in exactly your shoes but I am so happy I decided to go this direction
Yes you’re so right. Traditional takes forever and yes CEP is very scary specially the online part. So, good time management will play is part ?
