Gateway CC Fall 2019 Evening Program (Traditional RN)

Published

My stamp is 1/18/18. Gateway CC evening program was my first choice. Has anyone with a similar date stamp been accepted to any type of traditional evening program? What are the class schedules generally like if you're only taking the nursing courses? Is it class everyday and on Saturday and Sunday? Thanks in advance for any responses.

I am so stressed here? my stamp is 07/7/2017 and nothing yet. They just send me any email today stating that there is a very little chance but for sure January 2020. I am so sad

So sorry to learn about your situation. Did you apply at Gateway CC or a different location?

That fine, I applied to PVCC, PC, SCC just not gateway. But the truth is they all have a very long waitlist. Usually 2years

Have you considered CEP?

CEP doesn't interest me due to cost. I'd rather get the Associates and pay for a BSN while employed as a nurse if I feel so inclined.

That a smart move. I work as PCT and I have seen many new grads from CEP who struggled and get kicked out of their job because they don’t know anything. So I realize that traditional is the best comparing to a more stressful and Intense program where most of the time you don’t have enough time to assimilate and process what your have learned. I checked on other private school but still maricopa have the best score on NCLEX so I gave up.

I am GWCC evenings for Fall ‘19. Here is the schedule

@tangledtrio congratulations to you. What was your time stamp and how long have you been on the waitlist?

Thanks so much for posting the schedule. This is really helpful. What do the abbreviation stand for? EBP and Alts/Sem. And why is "Hesi" on your schedule?

Thank you!! I was placed on the traditional waitlist 6/26/18 and decided to go for the CEP program. This schedule is for both the traditional and CEP students (I will have traditional students in my classes with me) if I were to have waited I believe they were saying Fall 2020 would have been my semester to start.. I know CEP seems expensive and scary, I was in exactly your shoes but I am so happy I decided to go this direction.

EBP I am still unsure, I will find out in our orientation in August. Alts/sims I believe is alternates/simulations for Clinicals and you can pick one of the two that week so for where they say Friday and Saturday it would actually be one or the other. Hesi is on there because at the end of every block you have to take a Hesi exit exam to go into the next block.
