My stamp is 1/18/18. Gateway CC evening program was my first choice. Has anyone with a similar date stamp been accepted to any type of traditional evening program? What are the class schedules generally like if you're only taking the nursing courses? Is it class everyday and on Saturday and Sunday? Thanks in advance for any responses.

I think you click my name and then message and you have to have had a certain number of posts before you can PM so I’m not sure

Hello!

I applied to the CEP program and I selected Gateway Evenings is my first choice. Would anyone be able to provide me with some more information about clinicals? I have a ton of questions about days and times of clinicals. Is it possible to have your clinicals on Saturday and Sunday? Do you get to pick your clinical day? Any information you can provide will greatly help!

For block one you will be doing long term care (LTC) and depending on your site instructor, facility etc you can start anywhere from 0530 to 0645 and usually end around 1530 to 1630. While it is possible to have clinicals on Saturdays and Sundays, these are NOT guaranteed placements. If you are placed in a Friday rotation either you have to trade with someone or miss time from work if you are working full time/part time. Your clinicals usually don't start till around October/November.

Thank you so much for the information. If I get accepted into the CEP program, I hope that I can land a Saturday or Sunday clinical rotation. Is it hard to trade with other students? Are students able to give the school their preferred days? How many weeks in a row are clinical days? Do they start in October/November and last till the end of the semester? I
