Well the official application filing period for Fall 08 is at the end of this month. Just curious to see who is applying and try to get a support group going because I know the waiting process can be tedious! :icon_roll
I more than likely will apply during the late filing period (hopefully), but I also am applying to the El Centro/Methodist Hospital Program, in which the official filing period doesn't end until the end of May. So I will apply to both, its the same program but one is free.
Has everyone taken the Hesi? And if you plan to attend at El Centro, have you checked out the new building? Also, what campus is your first pick North Lake or El Centro?
Got my acceptance packet late last night! I'm in at El Centro! Can't believe it - its been a long haul and I know its only just begun :) Yes, it would be a great idea to start getting some of the supplies, books, etc over the next few months rather than hitting all that debt at once right before school starts. How many sets of uniforms are recommended? Can we buy scrubs elsewhere rather than just at school during the fitting? Wow, so many questions I/we are going to have. Congratulations to everyone and have a great weekend!
Cheers,
Kristina
godspeed - CONGRATULATIONS!!! What campus?I'm in at NL...
What can we buy NOW before the avalanche of expenses heads our way?!!??
Got my first choice - El Centro. Seriously considered North Lake, but El Centro was more practical overall. North Lake would have probably required a move and my apartment is in a good area and CHEEEP! Got so much to do before September, the last thing I want to worry about is finding some new diggs... Parking is crap @ EC, but I'll need to go hard core with the train. Have considered buying a motorcycle...
If someone finds some threads or posts with El Centro/North Lake supply and book lists, post the links...
This link is from the bookstore for RNSG 1423:
I usually always copy the name of the book and the author of the book and look in up on Amazon or Half.com to find the cheapest price for the books rather than paying an arm and a leg at the bookstore!! I know somethings I will have to get at the bookstore like the skills pac, but other than that cheaper books means more money in my pocket.
Hi, Jaxia - thanks for the words of support! The scrub pants are black, correct? With black shoes...
I just pulled the list of books for NLC RNSG 1423 for Spring 08...What do we REALLY need? And what is REALLY good to have?
THANKS!! The real stress begins....
Yes, the scrub pants and the shoes are both black -- solid black. Some teachers will even complain if the shoes have white logos. I've seen people who just took a Sharpie and colored them in!
That list of books for first semester is fairly overwhelming, but you will reuse most of them. I bought the book box because I wanted the books on my computer.
