FSW Spring 2018

Published

It's a bit early, I know. I just wanted to start a thread for all of those looking down the road planning to apply to FSW this fall for the spring 2018 program start..

I'm planning on applying to the Charlotte campus for the Evening/Weekend (ANEW) schedule format.

What campus are you planning on applying to?

What classes are you trying to finish up before applying in Sept/Oct?

What program schedule format will you be choosing (Daytime or evening/weekend)?

Did you take the TEAS VI exam and how did you do?

I look forward to the discussion over the next few months!!

Hey guys! I recently got accepted for Fall 2017 at the Collier campus. I took both psychology and sociology. The program requires either or. I got a 72 on my TEAS, 3.9 gpa and completed all my prerequisites before applying. Good luck!

Hi there,

Thanks for your response. How are you liking the program? Any advice for pre-nursing students regarding what you wish you knew before & etc?

First day of class is on 8/21 so I have no clue what the program will be like.

Congrats. We are All EXCITED about the program LEE will be my first choice although I stay in Belle Glade, I will have to drive everyday until I find friends place to crash. I'm taking my teas around mid September. According to what everyone is saying we pretty much have a shot .. They are getting in with as low as 62 points. Well we need to set up a meeting place lol we gone celebrate getting in.

Heyyy were you nervous when you applied?

True, I don't know why my mind thought we're in September already.

I was very nervous. It takes about 4 weeks after the application deadline to know if you're accepted or not. I didn't think I had a chance due to my low TEAS score but I'm just super grateful that it was more than enough.

Has anyone taken A&P 2 with Jospeh Curoine? I believe is how you spell his name. I have him this semester and I'm wondering if anyone had any tips or experiences with him as a professor ! Thanks

Hey kmm0425!

I took him for the summer semester and the class was a breeze! He makes Anatomy 2 easy to understand and he only teaches you what you absolutely need to know. He's doctor so he definitely knows what we will see and not see when we start out careers í ½í¸Š Make sure you write everything he writes on the board because it will be beneficial to you.

Do any of you guys know whether the nursing application can be submitted and paid for online? Some schools have a paper only application.

Yes, I believe the applications can be submitted online. I took a quick peek at the online application form during the last application period. I had to log into my portal on the FSW website in order to access and fill out the application.

Perhaps someone who has already gone through the process can verify/add to this.

I hope so, I currently reside in Orlando and don't want to make the long drive just to apply. I plan on visiting the campus soon. I'm aiming for Lee since I'm interested in housing there.
