FSW Spring 2018

Published

It's a bit early, I know. I just wanted to start a thread for all of those looking down the road planning to apply to FSW this fall for the spring 2018 program start..

I'm planning on applying to the Charlotte campus for the Evening/Weekend (ANEW) schedule format.

What campus are you planning on applying to?

What classes are you trying to finish up before applying in Sept/Oct?

What program schedule format will you be choosing (Daytime or evening/weekend)?

Did you take the TEAS VI exam and how did you do?

I look forward to the discussion over the next few months!!

I hope this isn't a silly question; do we take classes during the summer? I've noticed some programs don't, but I couldn't find the Spring 2017 schedule for students enrolled in the program.

No questions are silly around here as far as Im concerned :)

No, the program doesn't run in the summer semester. The classes are only in the Fall/Spring semesters and should be completed in 4 semesters. I personally plan to complete pre-req classes during the summer semesters (If I get in).

@weiny4089

Thank you for your response! I'm pretty sure you'll get in. Based on the stats for the program, I believe you have a very good chance actually. Are you applying to any other programs?

Thanks futurebsn955, I hope so!

No, I am only applying to FSW since they are the only school in southwest Florida that offers and Online/Evening/Weekend format. I will be leaving my job to be a stay at home dad with my newborn daughter when my wife goes back to work after her maternity leave in November. So this is the only schedule option that will work for me. I'm actually very thankful FSW is offering it.

Futurebsn955,

The application is online and the fee is only 15 bucks. And weiny4089 is correct you log in to complete it.

I'm registering today to take my TEAS (last attempt of the year) on Sepetember 20th

Hey guys I am applying to the lee campus for spring 2018 and am excited the application opens soon! Very nervous! I have a 3.9 and got an 87.3% on my teas. I am finishing up microbiology this fall and that will be my last class. Hope we can all look forward to the program together!

Camerella116, impressive score! What was your studying method?

I used the ati book and practice tests mostly but I also paid for the full version of the teas mastery app on my phone so I could always be answering questions. Between that and the ati practice tests it helped A LOT in my opinion. Have you taken your teas yet? Which campus will you be applying to?

I have and scored 73, I'm planning to apply to all campuses.

I hope you get in! I hope we all do. It'd be nice to kinda know some people before starting and going through this process with others makes it a little less scary. It's very nerve wracking already and the application isn't even open yet lol

Camerella116,

I know right?! Are you considering other schools? I plan to apply to Rasmussen as well. Their NCLEX passing rate is outstanding. Just am worried about the tuition.

OMG impressive scores. I have yet to take my teas yet I need to hurry up and take it so I can go ahead and apply before October 10th. Weeny I'm doing the same thing finishing my Pre-reqs during the summer. I'm excited and I haven't got in YET. Yikes ... I'm hoping all of us get I. And be classmates. I heard once you're in everybody becomes close like family.
