FSW Spring 2018

Published

It's a bit early, I know. I just wanted to start a thread for all of those looking down the road planning to apply to FSW this fall for the spring 2018 program start..

I'm planning on applying to the Charlotte campus for the Evening/Weekend (ANEW) schedule format.

What campus are you planning on applying to?

What classes are you trying to finish up before applying in Sept/Oct?

What program schedule format will you be choosing (Daytime or evening/weekend)?

Did you take the TEAS VI exam and how did you do?

I look forward to the discussion over the next few months!!

Futurenurse_98, same here I really want to go to fsw cause it's cheap and has a great program. I honestly dont want to apply anywhere else but we will see what happens if I don't get in.

Canegurl07, have you scheduled it yet? I'm so glad it's over. That was like the biggest stressor to me. It's like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I heard the same thing that everyone becomes like family. That's something I'd love to be apart of!

Hey guys I took the TEAS on Wednesday and got a 70. I know the application deadline is on October 15, do you guys thing October 11 is too late to take it??? I want enough time to study so I can hopefully get at least an 80.

Martini_02, it's not too late. As long as your application is in by the 15th, you're good. :)

Thank you Camerella116!

Hi all. I'm planning on applying for Spring 2018 with 76 points to the Charlotte campus. I haven't decided whether I'll try for the traditional or anew schedule... Does anyone know whether they offer the anew schedule at Charlotte?

I'm going to apply the last week of October I want to make sure I got my Teas studying done with an high score. Y'all OMG. The application period opens up in 12days. Yikes.!! Also I counted the weeks we should know whether we got accepted into the program a week or two before thanksgiving. I'm so nervous .

Even with a hurricane on its way I'm worried about being accepted. I'm crossing my fingers, because I noticed on the Spring 2017 FSW thread some people who scored 70s on teas and had a 3.0 GPA were accepted. I'm also waiting on my acceptance to the school. I know its delayed due to the hurricane. Everyone stay safe!

Hey guys I am applying to the lee campus for spring 2018 and am excited the application opens soon! Very nervous! I have a 3.9 and got an 87.3% on my teas. I am finishing up microbiology this fall and that will be my last class. Hope we can all look forward to the program together!

Nice to meet you Camerella,

Those are some solid scores. You are a very competitive applicant for sure. Are you applying to any other campuses besides Lee?

Hey there!

Its finally nice to see someone applying to the Charlotte campus as the first choice. I am applying to the ANEW schedule. I spoke to the program director and asked her whether they plan to have an ANEW class based out of the Charlotte campus. She told me that they need a minimum of 12 qualifying applicants for Charlotte in order to have a class based out of that campus. Last semester they only had 8 applicants that were competitive enough so they didn't have a class. PLEASE APPLY TO THE CHARLOTTE ANEW. I really want there to be a class based out of that campus. When you think about it, it's a lesser competitive campus and schedule so the chances of being accepted are much higher ;)

Seeing that the hurricane is tracking straight towards my house which sits on the Charlotte harbor in a 6-10 ft surge zone, all of these plans to start the program are tentative right now...

My wife, newborn daughter (born Sept 1), and I decided to take a trip to Alabama to get out of it's way. Praying that Irma heads west pronto!

Hope you guys are in a safe spot...

Weiny4089, I most likely will apply for Port Charlotte ANEW schedule. At the moment, it looks like that will work best for my family. My only reservation is clinical locations. I would be driving from LaBelle and while PC campus is about the same drive for me as Lee I'm not sure about the clinical locations so that's one thing I need to inquire about.

Hope you did not have any damage to your home. We saw quite a bit of damage in my area but I know others had it much worse. I got power back today and cell service seems to be getting better. Slowly things are going back to normal.

It seems FSW may have postponed the application start date due to being closed for Hurricane Irma. Good luck to everyone applying. í ½í¸

Nice to meet you as well weiny. I am applying to Lee as my first choice, Collier as my second, and Charlotte as my third. Really hoping I get Lee though since it is right down the street from my house. A little anxious since the application isn't open yet due to the hurricane. Hope everyone made it safe!
