  1. Hi I graduated from the Collier campus May 2019. Currently studying to take NCLEX. To answer your question, first semester clinicals are in the nursing homes in the Naples area. There are about four facilities I believe. The last few weeks of the semester, clinicals will be at NCH downtown.
  2. Polo (any color) and khakis on practicum days. Lecture wear what you want. Clinicals wear your scrubs. That's what we do at the collier campus not sure if it's the same at the others.
  3. 1. My name was spelled incorrectly. 2. Don't worry about that. The same thing happened to me and I remember freaking out because the deadline passed and it still said incomplete. The school will change it. Focus on uploading all of your immunizations and make sure you apply to the correct CPR class since there are different types.
  4. I can't really answer your first question due to the fact that I don't know what the next 3 semesters entails because I'm still in my first. They don't mention how difficult each semester will be but I would assume as as you go through the program there will be more responsibilities. In your case, good time management is important.
  5. There are more good days than bad. I enjoy the hands on experience more than the studying aspect because it can become tedious. I honestly thought first semester would be more difficult but I'm doing ok so far with the exception of my pharmacology class.
  6. You can use your own equipment if you like. I am a first semester student in the traditional program at the collier campus. The main challenge I am having is in pharmacology. It's online and we have the tests on campus. The tests consists of 10-15 chapters of drug classes, symptoms, etc. It's hard to study for because of the amount of information that are in each chapter and not knowing which will be on the tests. We get study guides but they are very vague. My other classes are more manageable.
  7. Current student here. You will get a kit filled with equipment you will need. It comes with a stethoscope, blood pressure cuff and some other supplies. A clipboard is recommended for clinicals.
  8. The ATI Carp is required. I'm in my first semester so we haven't used all of the sections yet but we will be using them as we go along in the program. Right now it has been helpful for the pharmacology course. I'm assuming there will be tests on there as well.
  9. After 4 weeks you'll get an email stating if you've passed stage 1 of the application process. That email will contain your next steps for phase 2. There wasn't an interview portion for the fall applicants so once we passed 1&2 they sent us a final packet which will contain all the to dos, uniform information, books, etc.
  10. I was very nervous. It takes about 4 weeks after the application deadline to know if you're accepted or not. I didn't think I had a chance due to my low TEAS score but I'm just super grateful that it was more than enough.
  11. First day of class is on 8/21 so I have no clue what the program will be like.
  12. Hey guys! I recently got accepted for Fall 2017 at the Collier campus. I took both psychology and sociology. The program requires either or. I got a 72 on my TEAS, 3.9 gpa and completed all my prerequisites before applying. Good luck!
  13. I took my TEAS this morning and got a 72. Not very competitive but I hope I can get in. I have all my prerequisites completed and also have a 3.90 gpa. I used the ATI manual, purchased practice test A from the ATI website and also watched numerous YouTube videos. I've been following the other threads and occasionally come back to this one before deciding to create an account. Good luck to everyone!
