FSW Fall 2019

Hi everyone! Just wanted to get a topic started on FSW's Fall 2019 cycle. The application deadline is May 15th. Here are my stats:

When this spring semester ends, I will have taken 8 out of the 9 pre-reqs. (3.62 GPA) I plan on taking A & P II in the summer. I am also taking the TEAS for the first time in May. I am a little stressed that I'm cutting it too close to the deadline and taking the TEAS without A & P II. My #1 choice is Collier ANEW, #2 is Lee ANEW.

Anybody else out there applying for Fall?

Thank you! and mine does say complete now BUT as of this morning it was incomplete. So I emailed Wendy (in the Charlotte campus) to make sure everything was alright and she said she was reviewing everything. So shortly after I got my acceptance packet yet on my castle branch my fingerprints did not say ''completed'' they were ''pending review'' they didn't change to completed till later today. I got mine done the 25th of this month so you should be cleared and get your packet soon. Good luck!!

Hoping a spot for Lee traditional will open up because I would prefer traditional over anew. But I am happy that I am at lee campus regardless because I live 25 mins away from lee campus and now don't have to drive 45 mins to 1 hr to charlottle campus. Congrats to everyone!!!

Hey! Does anyone know if the lab coats are a requirement or just optional? I work at a hospital that hosts FSW nursing students and they’re never wearing lab coats. I’m always hot and the thought of spending extra money to wear another layer with long sleeves seems awful to me if I don’t have to! lol

Does anyone know if we have to go to Hamilton’s for scrubs/embroidery? Or is sew shore acceptable too? I wasn’t sure which place was for scrubs or embroidery or if they do both? Thanks

Any store, just make sure to tell them that you go to FSW. They already have the requirements for the right scrubs. Do you guys know about any requirements for the shoes, or they just need to be white that cover toes and ankles???

I talked to Edna and she told me just any all white sneaker. I even asked if all white Nike’s are okay and she told me yes

First choice Lee, Charlotte, Lee ANEW and then Charlotte Anew. 66 points, however, my Microbio is in the middle of a credit review ( my advisor didn't submit paperwork to the registrar in time for the may review). So It shows 61 points. 77.3 on teas and all prereqs completed with mostly A's. (B in psych, English 1, AP2 and Humanities). I will retake Teas and Psych, English 1 and Humanities and try again for Spring.

I asked my advisor about retaking courses and she said they only accept the new grade if you had a D or F before.

I think you have to go into the actual bookstore to purchase them. I couldn't find the ATI code or the other code required for nursing school only the $999.00 worth of books. I was going to call and see if you can get them online or if you have to go into the bookstore. Just finished registering for fall classes!
