I just came across this thread and had to suffer for weeks alone of waiting! Haha. I got accepted for Spring 2025. I live in Ft Myers area and would love to know if anyone from SW Florida got in! For those curious and future applicants, I have 3.5 years experience as a nurse as well as 1 experience as a CNA. Most of my experience is in cardiac PCU but most recently made a switch to pediatrics. Before being in a clinical position I worked in an orthopedic doctor office doing insurance verification and receptionist. And before that I worked in an OBGYN office doing medical receptionist. I've worked most of the past 10 years in some type of medical setting. My overall GPA was maybe 3.5 but GPA based on my nursing classes was probably a 3.8-3.9. I'm also a Florida resident and got my ADN and BSN from a local Florida college!

I’m in the Lee ANEW program. We have 3 clinical groups. We’re starting in nursing homes. She’ll Point, Health Park and Gulf Coast Village. You don’t get to pick your placement for clinical sites. I know the people going to health park will go to Lee after they’re done at the nursing home. And people at Gulf Coast Village will go to Cape Coral Hospital after.

It isn’t bad but it is A LOT of work. Be prepared to read. I work full time and read/study 20-30 hours a week. That isn’t including Classroom/clinical time. We have class Thursday 5:30-9:30 and Saturday clinical 6:30am - 4:30pm and when we start going to the hospital it’s 6:30 am -6:30 pm.

I know mine says they owe me money due to the federal grant and federal loan I got. That could be why.

What books ? The list they gave it has one for $1000 and the other ati book that I thought we had to get at the book store
