Anyone else applying for FSU's Accelerated BSN program starting Spring 2010?

I got accepted to FSU!!!! Very excited!!! Has anyone received their packet in the mail????

I received my letter in the mail today. It comes with a form you have to fill out stating if you plan to attend FSU or not. It has to be returned to the CON by October 31.

They sent out several emails last night with tons of info about registration, clinicals and so on. Unfortunately I am unable to register despite having no stops on my account. Great. Looks like I will have to spend some time on the phone today!

I had the same problem. Mine was related to how they had my major listed in the computer. I was told to try again tomorrow :)

Did anyone have luck registering for classes yet? I'm still having trouble! It says that these classes are restricted to the major only. I looked in my profile and my major has been switched over to ABSN though. Let me know if any of you have been able to register. Also, does anyone if we can purchase ANY kind of white tennis shoes? Thanks!!!

Hello all,

I'm in the LPN program at Lively and thought I'd chime in on textbooks.

Bill's has everything but Amazon is 10-25% cheaper. Get the Amazon student and shipping is overnight and free(I think). You can your stethoscope from Amazon as well. I bought my stethoscope from Helen's but I wish I had bought the kit with a BP cuff(practice, practice).

Helen's and G.Willis has the scrubs; G.Willis is cheaper but more informal at times. Cherokee and Landau make cargo type pants with pockets, very good thing.

To anyone who has registered, what is the deal with the group A and B business? Can you tell which you are registering for or are they just going to randomly split us up? ****** said to me "don't worry about regeristing right away, all the classes are at the same time, you might just be split up into two groups" BUT looking at the schedule that doesn't seem true at all, group A and B are at totally different times and days! Confusing.

DLuxe, I'm very confused about our schedule as well! I really have no idea how the whole Group A & B thing is going to work out. Maybe they will divide us alphabetically? Not sure. I wonder when we'll know what group we're in?

I was trying to figure out the schedule as well & I asked ******. She said that the instructors will email us at a later date with instructions on signing up for a group. Do either of you know if we take the good moral character paperwork with us when we are fingerprinted or if any notary can witness us sign it?
