Anyone else applying for FSU's Accelerated BSN program starting Spring 2010?

Exactly! The tests in our class were timed and the wording was super complicated. I felt like I had run a marathon when I finished each test! Once I learned the skills to take the test they got much better, but they definitely took some getting used to. Congrats on finishing!!

Oh yes! I always got SO nervous b/c sometimes I just could not find the answer and I would have to Google them & thank goodness for that!!! Even if I read I still felt like there was SO much information and a lot of the diseases/infections had very similar signs or symptoms or manifestations, so that always made you think so much harder, but still I had trouble!

Have you looked at places to stay if you get in? And when do you think we will find out if we got in or not? I mean the deadline is Sept 1st, so do you think we will know by November so we can get things ready and all lined up?

I've read other posts from previous years. It seems like the find out mid October to November. Waiting it going to be hard!!

I went there for my undergrad a few years ago and know a few people still living there so I am checking with them to see if they have an extra room or want a roommate. I have a couple of options but am trying not to worry about it yet as I don't know if I am in yet or not. Most likely I will be looking for a roommate for the year though. If we both get in I would definitely be interested in looking for a place with another accelerated student.

That's what I just read after asking..lol! It is going to be nerve racking having to wait! I pray we both get in! I don't see why we shouldn't!

I did too! I got my bachelor's in Interior Design and graduated in 04! I was looking at places b/c even though we don't know yet, I want to be prepared! I would def be interested in a roommate if you don't live with your friends;0) Especially if we are in the same program...that's a plus to have a friend going through the same stuff:)

When did you apply for the program? I waited to apply until my Summer classes were over. So I just handed in everything last week. I am sure that I did not forget any part of the application process but I can't help but be nervous that something may have been forgotten or missed.

Are you taking any more pre reqs during the fall? I am taking micro and lab, chem and the lab, and sociology during the Fall.

Waiting is tough!

Hey I was just reading this thread. I am applying for spring 2012 as well. I just submitted my application the other day because I was waiting until I finished summer classes. I am taking patho, chem, and nutrition in the fall. I am praying that I get in because I will have all my prereqs done after this semester and feel like I would just be wasting time to wait until summer...waiting is going to suuuuuuuck

I went to Tallahassee a couple of months ago and met with a lady from teh administration, which was really helpful. She said as long as we meet the requirements that we should be fine. She said the majority of people who apply do not even meet the requirements, some decline to attend, and those who meet requirements are most likely admitted. She really made me feel much better about getting in but that calmness has pretty much worn off now.....

What other schools are you looking into? FSU is my first pick so if it doesn't work out it is going to be a long Spring waiting for the other schools to start in the summer....

Well that is somewhat comforting. FSU is my first pick as well. I am not applying to any other programs in the spring. I don't know what I am going to do with myself if I don't get in lol. Im hoping there are fewer candidates for a spring start seeing that many applicants for accelerated programs apply in the summer as soon as they graduate college.
