Anyone else applying for FSU's Accelerated BSN program starting Spring 2010?
I'm applying to FSU 2010 spring program. Still have to take Patho AP 2 and Chem.. I know this is a new program so I'm hoping not many people apply :) I went for my undergrad and loved it, I hope I will be a nole once again! Still waiting for my readmission acceptance.. put it in back in Jan but still haven't heard.. called the dean of nursing but haven't heard back. I hope to hear something soon!
People in my class who took Patho online either took it from FSU or Kenyon College (Ohio). They said that they just found Kenyon by googling online patho classes. Hope this helps! Where ever you decide to take it, I would just check with FSU CON before enrolling to be sure it will transfer. Hope this helps!
I live in Tally and I'm kind of curious to know if those that took their pathos at FSU did it online and was it the NGR 5140 Advanced Pathophysiology (4) listed on the FSUONLINE website? Or is there an in-class version of the course I could attend?

The online Patho class you're referring to is the graduate level class, so I wouldn't recommend taking it. I am currently in the ABSN program at FSU, and I took Patho online through Butler Community College (as did a few other ABSN students). They're one of the cheaper schools, and the class wasn't excessively difficult. Plus, Butler's admissions process is a breeze!
If you would prefer to attend FSU and are looking for an in-class Patho course, the course number you're looking for is NUR3125.

Hi- I am currently enrolled, but just beginning, pathophysiology online via Butler CC. For those of you who have taken the course, especially if you have taken it through Butler, do you have any tips? I have taken science and health classes before but never online and never in such a short amount of time....
Any pointers would be great!!
Thanks = )
Ahh! Sorry!! My e-mail used to let me know when people responded on this post and then it just stopped! I must have unchecked a box somewhere. Please don't think I was ignoring you, I definitely would have helped you out before!
I am sure by now you have figured out the whole enrolling in Butler process, so I won't go into detail about that. Are you taking the 8 week course that just started?
Hey Just seeing if anyone else is taking the Patho class online through Butler. Earlier some of you mentioned you are, but on the class discussion I can't find any other FSU or Florida people. Just wondering.
Once I enrolled in the class I was able to find other schools that offer it online, even one in FL, I think. I decided to stick with Butler though b/c I had already enrolled.
Just seeing if anyone else is in the class that just started or has taken the class offered through Butler before.
Right now FSU accelerated accept path only accepts each spring (January). UM and FSU are the only two schools that I could find that accept for Spring. There are a lot of schools that accept for the Fall and Summer, but you will have to check there requirements. If you apply for FSU, you have to have 13 pre reqs, 9 of which have to be completed by the Summer, you apply in August, and can take up to 4 classes in the Spring. There is a min of how many sciences must be completed by the summer also, I think it is 4 classes (including if it has a lab), but I could be wrong.
If I were you I would check out their website and other schools in the state. FSU's website is really pretty good compared to others. I went in and met with an advisor, which seems like it would be a good idea for you.
When are you graduating with your BA and what is it in?

Really, I'm trying to apply to FSU, USF, and MCG in georgia for the MSNCNL program, so I kind of need the pathophysiology at any rate. So, yes i'm applying to FSU for next spring. Heard pathophysiology is a little hard but think it's doable. Thanks for the update on the website's status though.
