FSCJ SPRING 2015

Hello, everyone!

Since no one has started a Spring 2015 for FSCJ Nursing, I thought I would start it. I plan on applying the beginning of September I will take the exam in august. I'm very nervous of course. I have a preq gpa of 2.87 but I have an overall gpa of 3.23. Has anyone heard that FSCJ has changed their entrance exam to the HESI A2? Anyone applying to FSCJ hoping to get accepted for the spring?

I have the new packet, i recieved it this morning from Cheryl. If anyone needs it I'll send it, however, the score system is still the same! Right now im sitting at a 177.3! Can you all post what you are at just so I can get a feel for where everyone is at?

I emailed the nursing department asking a few specific questions and to see if they sent me the correct packet. While I was reading it I noticed several things that did not collaborate with what I have been told through the department. I emailed them last week and have not received a response. Before I send it to you, I want to make sure it is the correct packet.

I went to North Campus and spoke with Cheryl this morning. I was able to get my hands on the new packet and ask her a few questions. The deadline for spring will be OCTOBER 1st. The dates/deadlines they have in the new packet go into effect starting January 2015. Chemistry is the new requirement and sociology will no longer be accepted as of spring. They have already changed it on the degree audit for this term. Also, if you have taken MAT1033 along with a higher math course, they will take whichever class you scored higher in. I made an A in College Algebra as opposed to a C in Stats so she said they will take the A toward the point system. The same rule applies with any humanities courses anyone has taken. If you have taken multiple HUM courses they will take the highest grade. These are the only two classes this rule applies for. One other note, if you plan to apply elsewhere and want to use HESI A2 scores that were taken at another college and apply it towards the FSCJ program, you may want to check with the testing center at that location to make sure the two HESI A2 tests you are taking are the same version. Otherwise it may not be accepted.

I'm getting nervous about FSCJ it seems a bit unorganized and I am curious to see how the scale will be of those who they are accepting.

For the hesi you get 4 hours, there are like 5 sections, you can take as much or as little time in each but you only get 4 hours (i finished in 1 hour 20 minutes).

If anyone has the new packet i would really appriciate you emailing it to me, i recieved one a couple of weeks ago but was told it had too many errors and that it was being thrown out but have not recieved a new one yet.

i am also nervous about us being the first batch of people, i dont know if it betters or worsens our odds but i really hope we all get in!

Do you know which section is the hardest one so we know what section we need to spend more time one?
