Hey Troops,

I am bored today ( not that I dont have plenty to do as we all do...) , however I thought I would start us a new thread , hope everyone enjoys and congrats to all and I look forward to meeting you all in Jan along with working with you. Merry Christmas and a Joyous holiday season to everyone likewise..... :yeah:

Hello all, This is my first post. I finally got accepted after my 4th try with 194 pts. I received a call on tuesday evening and was asked to come to orientation on Wednesday for the morning classes. Would i accept? heck ya! I dont know if i should be excited or sad. I really want this but i workfull time in the mornings and quiting right now is not an option. My first choice was evening/weekend and when i talked to her today no evening seats . Does anyone want to switch? If not I will have to sit out until August, If i get accepted.
:crying2:

Oh no! I'm on evenings already. I hope it works out for you. Please let me know. Have you considered switching jobs?

Was anyone missing any forms/documents/titers or such? Somehow my titer for measles mumps rubella only got tested for rubella? I am apparently missing Measles and mumps titers, which really surprised me, I thought I had it all done. Did they do just a general MMR titer for y'all or separate titers for each? I was under the impression I was done, so this really caught me off guard. Any response would be greatly appreciated!

When I went to the doctor I just brought my nursing packet with me and explained I needed titers for Varicella and MMR. When I got my lab report back I had 4 line items, one for Varicella, one for Measles, one for Mumps and one for Rubella. So they sctually split the MMR out into three titer lines showing positive (or negative) for each one. Mine came back all positive.

Thanks! I got it done this past Friday, and they just did it as MMR. Not sure how it got mixed up, may have been my fault. Either way, as long as they're positive, it's all good.

Hello my fellow classmates of May 2012, I was wondering if any one here is in section 5 or 6? I am in section 5 and just wanted to start building some kind of relationships so we can all help one another succeed.

Hi WarVet

I am in section 5

Yep as long as they all come back positive then you should be good to go. I called my mom and she told me I had the chicken pox already and I was vacccinated for MMR when I was little so I knew I only had to to the titers and not get immunized and then my titiers drawn. I love moms! :)

Hey guys! Congrats on the greatest achievement yet, getting in! I wanted to know the Nights and Weekends schedule if any of you happen to know...

Thanks!

Has anyone else received emails about being enrolled in evolve courses?

Thanks!

Monday night is test night at North Campus 6-8:30pm, every Monday. Then classes Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night at Deerwood from 6-9pm. Then Saturday from 8:30am-1:30pm unless it is a clinical site day then it is 7:30am and you have to be at the clinical site by 6:30am. Two classes are hybrid classes which means you won't have class every week with the same schedule. One week you might only go Monday (testing), Wednesday and Saturday depending on the classes. We won't know the actual hybrid schedule until classes start next week.

Has anyone else received emails about being enrolled in evolve courses?

Yep. I got one for Pharm which I looked around the site through and another I haven't looked at.

i got one for pharmacology on dec 16th and i enrolled in the medical terminology course. jan 1st i got two emails saying i was enrolled in two courses, and when i logged into evolve, it only showed the 2 i already had (pharm and MT)

I don't know what I am doing wrong but I cannot find my classes on evolve. Once your logged in where are they? Lol I'm not very computer savy

After you log into evolve, on the left hand side of the page towards the top you should see "Edit" and under it you should see "my content" and then +courses. They all have little green things next to the words. Click where it says courses and then the two courses (Pharmacology and Exploring Medical Language) will be directly under where you clicked.
