Hey Troops,
I am bored today ( not that I dont have plenty to do as we all do...) , however I thought I would start us a new thread , hope everyone enjoys and congrats to all and I look forward to meeting you all in Jan along with working with you. Merry Christmas and a Joyous holiday season to everyone likewise.....
Hi, I'm new to posting....I've been reading the posts over the past couple of weeks when we were all "waiting" for the letter to come in the mail. When I did get the letter I was completely off guard and of course, was shouting at the mailbox as I opened the letter.
At any rate, I've experienced all the shots, blood works, titers, physicials, PPDs, etc, and turned all the paperwork in (and keep copies of course); and I attended the orientation and got the hospital of my choice. I hope a good background in the nursing field, so I opted to go for the previous editions like CaptnKris did...it was several hundred dollars cheaper, and it may mean I have to be a little more focused in class, but its well worth it to me.
I wish all of you the best of luck -- get your rest now, I've have friends who've gone through the program and the amount of study required depends on the individual. If you can work full-time, take care of your family, party, study and still score 93's, then I say go for it, but if you like me and have to cut back in some areas while almost eliminating others, then we're in the same boat. I can study with one or two more people, but I don't do well in groups, so I hope I can find a "study buddy" once school starts.
Happy Holidays and good luck to all over these next 16 months -- May 2012, here I come!!:anmllvr::brnfrt::cmptradct:
The ladies at the book store told me Monday that the E Books werent in and they didnt know when they would be in , are they in now??
I actually called the deer wood campus and got them last Friday, that is much closer to my side of town and they were very helpful. Might be an option if they still have packets available and you live out towards the beach/ south side.

I just bought my ebook pack today! I am getting ready to break the seal so I am a little nervous because there are no returns once that happens. I have decided to get a touch/swivel screen tablet PC. I can either use it as a touch screen pc or a laptop. And for about $400 it's not too bad. Atleast I can hide the keyboard if I want to and take my books (minus the heavy load) with me on the go. :)
Awesome! Hope it works well for you too melissa :)
Only a few more weeks!! :redpinkhe:nurse:
Was anyone missing any forms/documents/titers or such? Somehow my titer for measles mumps rubella only got tested for rubella? I am apparently missing Measles and mumps titers, which really surprised me, I thought I had it all done. Did they do just a general MMR titer for y'all or separate titers for each? I was under the impression I was done, so this really caught me off guard. Any response would be greatly appreciated!
I had previously submitted all my health documentation and turned it in early and they lost it. So I had to have a new picture made , already done that just have to make copies of all my original papers I submitted and hopefully someone will be there tomorrow so I can give it to them.....does anyone know if they will be there at all tomorrow??
