Hey Troops,

I am bored today ( not that I dont have plenty to do as we all do...) , however I thought I would start us a new thread , hope everyone enjoys and congrats to all and I look forward to meeting you all in Jan along with working with you. Merry Christmas and a Joyous holiday season to everyone likewise..... :yeah:

Hello my fellow classmates of May 2012, I was wondering if any one here is in section 5 or 6? I am in section 5 and just wanted to start building some kind of relationships so we can all help one another succeed.

Jeepjag,

I heard from Ms Emily this am through email and she said to ask for Julie or Herslef as one of them should be there, hope that helps you.....good luck....

Yeah, I just got an email from her. She said next week or January 3rd and to ask for one of the folks you mentioned above. Thanks!

Good Deal , glad you got her. I went over early this morning and the gilr tried to take it from me at the desk and I said, "ooh no dear, it has been turned in once before and somehow got lost so I would prefer to see Ms Emily or Ms Julie. Ms Emily was filing some papers and heard me and walked over and took it and taked me for it, I wished her a Merry Christmas and was on my way. I am sure they are up to their neck in procrastinators, I would kick them all however I am sure they cant....She was even nice enough to send me a reminder to be sure and get my titer in for my measle vaccination a little later, so all is good....easy enough remedy....

Yeah some how my doc forgot to write my tdap shot on the paperwork and ordered the wrong HepB titer. Twas crap. Sent her a message saying I'll be out monday with fixed papers. Got her email this morning, "I'll be gone till jan 3rd.".

Hello all, This is my first post. I finally got accepted after my 4th try with 194 pts. I received a call on tuesday evening and was asked to come to orientation on Wednesday for the morning classes. Would i accept? heck ya! I dont know if i should be excited or sad. I really want this but i workfull time in the mornings and quiting right now is not an option. My first choice was evening/weekend and when i talked to her today no evening seats . Does anyone want to switch? If not I will have to sit out until August, If i get accepted.
:crying2:

So what are you guys doing about work? Is anyone on day shift attempting to work full time during term 1. I recently acquired my CNA license but am having some trouble finding employment. Most places will hire a student who has completed the first semester of nursing school for a nurse's assistant position.... so if I don't find a job before then I will have spent all that time and money getting my license in vain:crying2: Anyone in the same boat???

Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday:yeah:

Since I'm on days.. my schedule should allow me to work 2 half days and one full day at work. This will let me pickup about $150-$200/wk. With what I've got saved, it should help me.

Specializes in Peds.

I'm on days as well and currently working full time at a pediatric office. I will need to cut back to about 2-3 days per week, I am hoping to remain there throughout the program as my ultimate goal is to continue in Peds.

:)

Evenings! Good luck!

I'm turning all of my health paperwork in tomorrow. My titers came in and were incomplete. I had to give more blood so they could test for those they missed. Emily said to get it in as soon as we can, but that they allow a reasonable amount of time. Just get it done, you'll be okay. Interesting how incompetent some healthcare professionals can be (that won't be any of us!).

Oh, sorry. I realized I may not have answered your full question. See what you paid for. If you paid for a MMR titer, then they should have done one for each. Hope this helps.
