Hey Troops,

I am bored today ( not that I dont have plenty to do as we all do...) , however I thought I would start us a new thread , hope everyone enjoys and congrats to all and I look forward to meeting you all in Jan along with working with you. Merry Christmas and a Joyous holiday season to everyone likewise..... :yeah:

Yes, I read that as well... but I'm finding out there's a lot of typo's and miss communication, so I'm going on what Ms. Emily said. It does make sense that we don't have to wear them during classroom hrs. since they only required 1 and we are going to class 3-4 days a week. I'm doing days, so I'll post something tomorrow after class and at least be able to help the evening students out. I'm not sure about everyone else, but I feel like I'm going to need all the help that I can get with info. for the next 16 mths. I don't know if it's just me, but everything seems to be somewhat unorganized in this program! Hopefully it will get better!!!

Thanks ladies :) I will be skipping the polo for tomorrow then... :)

I agree... I am sitting here (for hours actually) trying to streamline a calender for All of the classes tests, content, due dates, days in class and out etc. and it is quite cumbersome. :/ Well see you all tomorrow :)

Hey everyone!

Do you guys think we'll need to bring our stethoscope and bp cuff to classes this week? I read somewhere that we don't start using the skills kit until the 2nd week so I was wondering if its the same for those two.

Hey everyone:

As promised here is the response I got this morning from a professor regarding what we wear to class everyday:

"Daily uniforms were NOT implemented due to the hit on the economy. Just wear "regular" clothes to class."

Hope this helps everyone. And goodluck on everyone's first day! :)

Does anyone know about registering the clickers? How do we get our student ID for them?

The back of the clicker says the number on the clicker on the back is our clicker ID. I don't know how they connect these numbers to our names yet but I am sure they will go over this in your first class. It seems this is a learn as we go process. :)

Ha, yeah. It is one of those be on top of your game but ready to change. Not a problem for me, it fits my personality to a T.

lol, at least it makes it exciting and keeps you on your toes. In the nursing world you need to learn to be ready for anything and expect anything to happen. Just use it to your advantage I guess. :)

That was a stellar first class on rounding and 6th grade math. Some of those things just threw me for a loop. :uhoh3:

What exactly is going to be on the med term section of the upcoming test? Got the dosage calc down

from what i saw in the nursing tutor community, its going to be modules 1, 2 and 3 in the evolve course.

iPad is working well for me so far, I have downloaded all of the books through the app vital source bookshelf, so whether or not I am connected to the Internet I can read whenever.

I take the iPad with me so when I was at the dr. Today for example i took it out and continued reading cho. 1 of pharmacology.

The notes function is something i am still working with. For that I always prefer to handwrite anyway... So carrying a notebook to jot down information and transcribe information (for me it also helps go cement the concepts to see it,hear it, write it).

All in all so far i am pleased. i think a laptop would do well also, would allow you the ability to cut and paste into word documents and complete assignments all in one place.

I understand the apprehension about new and electronic books.... I am hopeful that it continues to work well but will make surer to budget for the paper books should i need them at some time.

Good luck Melissa... Let us know how the books are working for you as well,

Lowiie- I thought the exact same thing about the pocket protector... I ended up getting a white one (with pink accessories :)) from medsaver, although after reading over the materials it does not specifically mention color anywhere. To be safe I might get a white one as a backup, would hate to have a technicality interfere with clinicals. :)

and no! No idea about the raffle and i think i bought a total of 10 tickets! :(

Hi nikkiv723! How many GB is your iPad? Do u think 16 GB s enough?
