Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.
So is acceptance based strictly on points or do they take all this other stuff into consideration? My academic past isnt so great from partying instead of studying when I was younger but I still applied with a 191
I'm in the same boat you are, I just hope a 191 will be good enough because that's exactly what I'm applying with...
Im not sure, my friend who is also applying is the one that passed that information to me. I thought thats all they did was send out acceptance and denial letters. I didn't think they sent out information based on the cut off score beforehand?? how does that work?
It's my understanding that the people who receive the denial letter are informed in the letter what the cutoff score was.
Hey everyone! I have been following the posts daily and finally made an account:) super nervous and anxious waiting on these letters to come. Just curious has anyone determined if there is really still only a certain percentage of seats accepted for Clay county? My parents/ lisence address is Duval but I listed my boyfriends address which is Clay county on the application because I mainly stay there and I wanted my mail to go there not realizing that would make a difference because I asked the lady at fscj if the county you lived in mattered and she said no!! Now I see everyone's posts and I'm nervous!!
I've not heard of them taking the county into consideration before this thread. Of the 24 people in my lecture class I know at least 6 who live outside of Duval county.

You have to wait on the physical because you have to take a form for your primary healthcare provider to fill out and that form will be in the acceptance packet I believe. If I am not mistaken, you can go ahead and get your fluvshot if u haven't had one recently . Also u will need a skills kit. I heard thatvu be some for sale at orientation so u might want to wait on that to compare prices. A watch with a second hand is necessary and that is all I can think of at the moment.
I think 196 is a great and u should be fine. My score is only 178.96.
