  1. Awwe thanks daniellejax and HokieJen . Can't wait for you guys to get that big white envelope in the mail. :). I must say there are a lot of nursing students in this program that are very helpful and nurturing. You will have a great support system. You'll see.
  2. I would just start gathering paperwork like proof of income, w2, ssn card, driver license etc. You can only apply at a certain time. I believe for you guys it will be from March 2, 2015 – April 17, 2015. But If I were you I would apply on March 2. It is great because they will pay for your tuition, books and NCLEX test. They will look at your degree audit for nursing and you will need an overall 3.0 gpa to qualify. You will also have to make less than $25 an hour. I believe if you are under the age 24 or 25 they will look at your parents' income. Once you apply you will be assigned to an intake counselor close to your home location. They will schedule the appointment for test and paperwork. As far as test taking and paper work I hear some intake counselors are more lenient than others. Also you are going be required to have a physical, immunization shots, drug and background test done within 3-4 weeks of getting accepted. Get mentally and physical, and FINANCIALLY prepared for this program. WIA or financial aid will not cover the above expenses or uniforms. You are responsible. I spent $670 and I am not including any books. Some nursing students spent a whole lot more than me. Having health insurance helps but a lot of health insurance plans do not cover the immunization shots.
  3. @daniellejax, We actually have three dosage calculation test this term that we have to pass with an 80% or better. But you are correct you only get two attempts for each test. If you do not pass it , you will fail the actual course which means you would need to be reinstated to the program. We were mostly provided with multiple resources to help us. There are some instructors and a tutor that can help you. But it is an independent study, so they will not teach you during lecture time. You are responsible with learning it on your own time. Once you get accepted you will get a packet with what will be on some of the dosage calculation test . Once you register for classes, you can log on to blackboard and they have plenty of resources for all the dosage calculation.
  4. Honestly... Day classes can be anywhere from 6:00am-5:00pm M-F. Just make sure you keep your schedule open and be willing to be very flexible. You probably won't see the 6:00am start time until you start going to doing your hospital rounds which is normally the 8th week in 1st term. So with out clinicals classes are anywhere from 8am-5pm. They won't hand you your official schedule until orientation after you been accepted. I just started the program so let me know if you have any other questions. I wish you all the best :).
  5. ahhh congrats!!! If possible, I would Email Cheryl James now to accept especially if you want n&w. I don't think I can list the email address on here sorry.

  10. aww congrats!! so happy for you. :) I remember you in the Fall 2014 forum.
  11. Congrats again to all who have and will recieve acceptance letters. Does any one know the cheapest place to get the physical and tithers done? Has the FB page been created yet? I can create one if not. I would eventually need to pass the administrative rights to someone else whose better at it. Let me know.
  12. Thanks for letting me know. I am going to check it out. I am trying to gather as many resources I can to help with this program.
