Hello! My name is Melissa and I am sophomore and will be entering nursing school coming fall. I currently dorm in a double bedroom but my friends are planning to get a quad for next semester. I told them that I am down for the cause lol but I recently been getting second thoughts about it. Being that I am going to start nursing school in the fall I want to get you all opinions on whether or not I should dorm with my friends or not?

Your post has been moved to our General Nursing Student forum with the goal that current and former students come along and answer this question.
I'd attempt to answer it, but I never had that 'college experience' of attending a real campus or living in dorms. Good luck to you.

By quad do you mean the four of you in one bedroom, or sharing a suite with a couple of bedrooms. Sharing a suite might not be bad, it usually gives you a semiprivate common area and bathroom, but I would never volunteerly share a bedroom with three other people.

Most traditional students will dorm regardless of their major, nothing wrong with living with friends.

If your friends are also nursing students, it would be great. However, if they aren't, you may be creating real problems for yourself when you see them heading out for extended social activities while you're doubling down with study time required to keep up with your workload. It could have a very negative impact on your "adjustment" to nursing school. Just sayin' . . .
